Leather Dreams

I'm a big fan of soft, not too masculine leather scents.
When I had the chance to participate in a sharing to "Crème de Cuir | bdk Parfums", I just had to join.
Full of anticipation, I sprayed myself a big load.
Wow, it smells wonderful. Fruity opening, not very sweet but present and dominant.
It is very creamy thereby, which was to be expected with the name.
After a few minutes, a wonderful, but not intrusive pepper note joins the whole gives a quite interesting note.
Then it comes, the suede I like so much. A wonderful, soft, creamy suede, not at all intrusive as in other fragrances, but unobtrusive and flattering, delicate and lovely.
The wood I perceive only very subtly.
I even find that the fragrance is rather feminine.
A very great fragrance, only the price is too hot...

Pineapple, mandarin and lots of suede!

I fell in love with that scent pretty fast. I confess that I always like an opening with mandarin. Maybe that's because I'm a total fan of Bronze Goddes by Lauder. Imagine an intense version with a focus on musk, pineapple, vanilla and suede! No coconut! No Tiare Flower!
The last components in the fragrance leave something dirty and clean at the same time. Something slightly metallic, mineral, dusty. But it's actually a cream cuddle mix in the base. Just to feel good. The opening is clearly mandarin. The pineapple and the suede are always in the background. The metallic notes fade and become a skin cream scent. It remains soft leather with a dash of pineapple and musk. Really one of the most beautiful fragrances in 2019. The price is unfortunately quite high. Which one of me would like to report what. In the next days I will try to describe more fragrances here. BDK makes great cinema with great flacons. Who still knows the old Musk scents of Tom Ford will love Creme de Cuir!

Me and my wood

Very briefly I smell tangerine...that could linger longer. Then comes wood, wood, wood...puuh, that slays me. But there's also a bit of cream, very quietly in the background. After 10 minutes, the wood pulls back a little, just a little. The creaminess comes more clearly now, very nice, I can almost taste it. The sandalwood might like to withdraw even more for my taste.

I will definitely wear the fragrance a few more times to test whether I can overcome the woodiness in the long run...the creaminess of the fragrance is namely wonderful and very feminine

Summer leather jacket

The BDK Creme de Cuir was bought by me by chance and totally in the heat of the moment, without having smelled it extensively - fortunately, because at first sniff I probably would not have fallen in love. It starts with citrusy notes that also give it that summery effervescence in the opening, once those fade away I notice a totally creamy soft sandalwood paired with a summery elegant leather jacket. Not that kind of jacket you associate with bikers, but an understated, serious suede version.
For me, it is more of an everyday fragrance - but absolutely beautiful and balanced made

Fresh leather jacket

Someone else described this as "soft butch" and I think that's an apt description. I smell a lot of leather/suede and vanilla in this one but it's very nice and well done.

I don't think I would have noticed the fresh fruit on my own, but since I've referenced the notes, I can see how the mandarin and pineapple give this a fresh energy.

For me, leather notes always give perfume an egdy, cool girl/guy vibe. It's the olfactory equivalent to wearing a leather jacket. It's not really my style, but I wish I could pull it off.
