Cannabis Blue Fragrance Du Bois 2020

This is definitely not my kind of fragrance and I already knew that from the notes, even before trying it on. Probably the reason why I pushed it at the end of the ScentXplore box. Nonetheless, I will say that, objectively, this scent surprised me.

I will be honest, the strongest notes on my skin are the eucalyptus in the top notes and the sage in the middle note. Eucalyptus is medicinal, prickly, strong, camphorous. It smells medicinal and sterile even, not something I'd want to smell like necessarily. Sage is more toned down, herbal, soothing and aromatic. I do detect cannabis in the background underneath those shades of green, but it's less impactful and more moderate. Eucalyptus is the strong, in-your-face note and the star of this fragrance. The fragrance is giving very fresh shades of blue among those shades of herbal, very nature-like greens. The drydown becomes more woody and smoky with a touch of patchouli and the eucalyptus that refuses to let go.

Very fresh, camphorous and mentholated. That is how I would describe this very impactful fragrance. Thankfully, once the eucapytus settles, the fragrance becomes a bit more palatable (even though it's not something I would wear). Leans more masculine, but not too much so it remain unisex. I'm still happy I got to try it out, but sample it out for yourself: definitely not a blind-buy!

Year and some change still no cannabis note, intense spices opening, absolute oriental, cardamom, nutmeg, sage, resin. Luving Fragrance du Bois's take on this type, superbly tamed. Starts to ignite refinement, stays same accord, again a du Bois mid start-settle into total stylishness. Personally enjoy the overspray drydown a lot in this, linear scent but then the greater overall caliber has it bring out more and more fun and complexity.

Snoop Dogg performs at a concert in Cologne on a cold winter night and the next day he is struck down by a man cold.
Coughing, sore throat, runny nose, his voice is gone - the whole package, really.

Desperately, he tries everything in terms of medication for days, seemingly without success.
Then it occurs to him, he does what he does best.

He lights up a nice joint and shortly thereafter has a brainwave - the German wonder weapon - Wick Vaporub.
After applying it, he lights up a second one.

Coincidentally, his good friend Christian Provenzano was also present and embodied this unique hotbox in this scent.

For some reason, I find this scent incredibly soothing and I can clearly smell the cannabis note more than in others.
An incredible fragrance that I have never smelled a second time.
This sage note somewhat reminds me of Wick Vaporub and that's how I came up with the idea to write it down in a little text.
You absolutely have to try it - it's a gift for the nose.

This is a bit of a different kind of review from me, but with this scent, I just couldn't help myself.

The scent starts off medicinal. It reminds me of a doctor, dentist, hospital, and later somehow of the forest. The eucalyptus is definitely noticeable. Later, sage also comes through. The other spicy components as well. Additionally, you can perceive slight citrus notes in the background after a short time. Towards the drydown, you can smell woody aspects. Given the name of the fragrance house, this makes sense. I can only faintly detect the cannabis, I think. I consume it occasionally, so I know what it actually smells like. And the "Blue" feels completely out of place to me. The scent is somewhat fresh, but nothing more. Eucalyptus Green would fit better.
In terms of wearability, I find the transitional months of spring and autumn to be the most optimal. When it comes to occasions, I really struggle. I definitely wouldn't wear this on a date.
For me and others I've asked, this is a classic men's fragrance.
This is definitely not a blind buy. It's not for me. I think many feel similarly.
Longevity and sillage are moderate.
I can't say much about the bottle since I only had a sample. It looks relatively high-quality.

I am currently testing the Wanderpaket from Fragrance de Bois and have to review number 2 in the test set right away!

The scent catapults me directly into the waiting room of my dentist at the opening. Medicinal. Clean. Synthetic. But with an ethereal "kick," it is super pleasant!

As it develops, I can clearly perceive the sage. It gives the fragrance a certain calmness and softness...

Cannabis Blue provides me with a mix of freshness, tranquility, and extravagance, although I thankfully do not smell the cannabis. Forest vibes: yes! Green-herbaceous: yes! But cannabis? Not at all.

This fragrance stands out from others, smells expensive, and is still somehow cozy. I am very impressed.
