Les vacances en Tahiti
This has to be the best yellow-floral fragrance. When I spray this, it always transports me to an exotic place. It has natural ingredients and that shows, because it doesn’t smell at all synthetic- I find Fragrance du Bois fragrances to be the most “natural” smelling fragrances I’ve tried. So if you don’t like the synthetic feel of Mancera and Montale, this niche house may not dissapoint you.
As for Oud Jaune Intense- It’s the fragrance of an exotic goddess with monoi flowers in her hair, laying on the beach, sunbathing and eating tropical fruits - that’s how it smells to me.
I always wear it on my summer vacation.
As for longevity and projection, I get 8-10 hours of this juice on my skin, with a strong sillage in the first 2 hours. Also, note that I wear it only when the temperature is pretty high ( 30* Celsius or more)- and that may influence it strenght.

Tropical Jasmine scent where nothing bothers me
First a short description of the scent for those who can't bear to read the whole review:

This is a blend of tropical fruits, creamy texture from Ylang-Ylang, fascinating white florals and a little hint of Coconut like aroma which is reminiscent of sun screen lotion. It's bright and joyous, somehow magical scent which works best in hot weather. As for the name, there is no detectable oud in the scent, but the same problem exists in other fragrances from Fragrance du Bois where Oud is mentioned in the name. "Jaune intense" is justified, as the yellow flower Ylang-Ylang is clearly represented in the scent with its rich, sweet-sour and banana-like aroma. It beautifully intertwines with sensual non heady Jasmine and sweetish Orange Blossom, both of which remain non animalic. The scent lasts and projects strongly and may be disturbing to those around you, especially indoors.

About other tropical white florals:

I have had a decant of this one for 3 years now and I still haven't decided whether I need it or not. I've noticed that the longer time goes by, the less interested I am in this scent, although I still like it. In reality, Oud Jaune Intense was a special and unique scent when it was released, even three years ago the market was not full of tropical, creamy, white florals. Yet even today I think it ranks well in comparisons of similar scents, because I often find something unpleasant in scents like this that I just can't stand. Some scents which I could describe as "creamy, tropical, white floral" and which are good, are Vanille Riviera , Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic , Isola Sol , Queen of Silk , Amethyst Soul and this one, Oud Jaune Intense Parfum each one interesting in its own way.

Background:

My little note after testing this scent (three years ago): "This I like a lot, really intoxicating and addictive. There is Jasmin, orange blossom and I like them. For summer time definitely! Compare the overall vibe to Ecstatic Clive Christian (but this is better)."

At that time I didn't have such a huge number of fragrances and the idea was to only buy 1-2 full bottles per category, so I thought I would choose one of them: Oud Jaune Intense or Jump Up and Kiss Me Ecstatic , even though the scents are not the same at all and Ecstatic being mainly a complex Tuberose fragrance. Despite my first impressions I only bought the latter one a few months ago and after hundreds, or rather well over a thousand fragrances, I am convinced that Ecstatic is still a very special and exceptionally beautifully made fragrance. Oud Jaune Intense, on the other hand, doesn't speak to me in the same way anymore and its quality is in no way comparable to that of Ecstatic albeit it has its own advantages.

Thank you for reading and I hope my review was helpful.

Cash grab yellow floral
I genuinely do not understand the existence of this perfume. With its combination of tiaré, ylang, and pineapple, it smells so close to Yves Rocher Monoï Oil or, heaven forefend, Amarige, that you begin to wonder if it is just impossible for any perfumer, no matter how skilled, to throw these particular materials together and have them not land in the same place. If you are into those King Kong-sized fruit punch florals, and have the money to indulge yourself, then Oud Jaune might turn out to be your personal idea of heaven. For the rest of us, a similar effect is almost guaranteed via the ten-times-cheaper Yves Rocher, or failing that, any European tanning oil. If you insist on niche, believing it to be intrinsically superior to mainstream stuff, then something like Armani Privée Rouge Malachite or one of the Tom Ford Soleil de something or other should scratch the same itch.

Simply amazing
This is an incredible powerful yet feminine parfume with amazing flower notes that will transport you to a tropical island. It is strong but very elegant at the same time. I find the Oud a bit played down by the creamy and sweet base notes, so if you love strong oud parfumes, this is probably not for you.

From Another Star..
My perfume journey spans about 30 years, and it’s becoming increasingly rare for a scent to catapult me directly into paradise, but Oud Jaune Intense Parfum has achieved the almost impossible. OMG, what a heavenly fragrance. Do you know that feeling when you spray a scent for the first time and immediately think: OMG, I’m freaking out? It’s a bit like not knowing whether to run around the house shouting Juhuu or just sit down on the sofa in sheer euphoria to breathe in this scent deeply.

The fragrance starts off exotic, pure South Sea luxury, but without going overboard, so far away from sunscreen, etc., just luxuriously exotic in a very noble and expensive-smelling way. Creamy pineapple mixed with one of the most beautiful floral notes I have ever smelled in my life, it must be the Monoi. I must admit that I encountered this note for the first time, and to put it mildly, I am completely smitten. According to Google, it is a Tahitian Gardenia. In the drydown, jasmine and orange blossom join in, again mixed in an unbelievably creamy way. I don’t know if it has to do with the salicylates, which I have never heard of, but something just smells heavenly and indescribably good. As a former oud fanatic, I smell absolutely no oud, which doesn’t matter to me because the scent is simply a solid 10 for me, with or without oud, completely irrelevant.. I smell musk and vanilla subtly.. The fragrance has no significant evolution, except that the pineapple almost disappears in the drydown. The scent doesn’t need a progression because it smells so heavenly from the very beginning that an evolution would almost be an impertinence…

I would describe the scent as an exotic, floral/fruity, very feminine noble explosion. While the exotic/floral aspect stands out to me, the fruity part plays more of a supporting role as soon as the fragrance reaches the drydown.

A scent that I absolutely must have. When I think of the price, my brain smokes, but oh well.

Watery yellow flowers + pineapple w/ OK jasmine + musk backbone. Not for me, but test if you're looking for tropical vibes. Apoplectic price

Bubblegum floral w/ some fruitiness. Mostly white-yellow floral, fairly standard & uninspiring. Spring-fall, sub-average performance.

Today it's Seychelles.
At the buffet, pineapple and XL floral arrangements.
Do you smell the wealth?
The sultry burden of long days?
It's all too much.

Tropical-floral scent with a hint of fruit and subtle white flowers, a touch of smoke (probably from the oud). Very balanced, but overpriced.
