the bolder younger brother

First off, I looooove this scent.

It's bold, it's in your face and the raspberry and oud combination is one that always works for me. That combo has been done and replicated, however, it feels like its following in the footsteps of its classy older brother, Widian - London. its doing a good job but its "brashness" needs to be toned down "to be like its brother".

This is a 9 for me.

A Ripe Fruit, With A Bitter Tinge.

Rude Oud is a personal favourite of mine from Du bois. It was given to me as a gift by the owner of which I am incredibly grateful for, yet it will not stop me from writing an unbiased review.

Rude oud is an exceptional fruity fragrance, though a bit unusual from the normal format. Rude oud starts off with a fragrant blast of ripe, tart, and illustrious fruits, followed by a bit of a harsh tinge. While it may be a tad bit bitter, its quite a bold yet interesting contrast to the fruitiness!
The duality of this pungent sweet delicious basket of ripe raspberry's and other assortments in combination with a tart, slightly bitter rose and oud makes for a refreshing, easily wearable fragrance that I love. While the scent may be wonderful, it does come at a steep price if it isnt given to you, so be weary of that. Another con is the fact is doesn't exactly last for that long, maybe 4-6 hours max.

Aside from all that, its its expensive tag; if you like fruity frags, this is for you.

More "gentlemanly" than "rude"

The name promises cheekiness - yet Rude Oud comes with elegance. Like those dark suits with a rebellious detail, sensual, warm, and incredibly noble.
The oud is present, but refined - not a beast, but a gentleman with depth.
One of those fragrances that whisper confidence instead of shouting.

A gentleman scent that definitely also suits a power lady!!

At that moment, I heard my phone ring, a message from an old friend: “Let’s have another drink, somewhere outside, under the city lights.” I smiled. The oud enveloped me like an invisible cloak, making me feel confident, almost unshakeable. I pulled my coat tighter, left the garden, and felt the streets of London pulsating beneath my feet as the scent continued to tell its story of journeys, secrets, small rebellions against the everyday.

Later, as I held the glass in my hand and looked at the lights of the Thames, I noticed how the oud transformed. It was still strong, smoky, and mysterious, but suddenly soft and warm, like a friend sitting next to me, silently understanding. I thought about how rarely a scent can shape a moment, surrounding it with its own aura.
