Life is not always fair
One thing I must say upfront is that I absolutely cannot understand why such a good fragrance is rated extremely poorly, while others that do not deserve it and are hyped are rated better?
If any YouTubers were to mention this fragrance and it weren't so underrated, many would rate it differently. One should always remain objective and not subjective.
The reason I make this statement is that Velvet Amber smells extremely similar to Falcon Leather by Matiere Premiere, which is currently extremely hyped and celebrated by many. The biggest difference is that there is no Finnish tar in this one, but rather a completely different ingredient that mimics it slightly, though in a pleasant way, which I personally found very unpleasant in Falcon Leather. Overall, it is a very linear oud fragrance that works with a mimicked tar accord, a lot of leather, and an animalistic wood note that is more in the background.
I think oud lovers will find this one worthwhile, as the fragrance has been created in a very extraordinary way.
