Village Fair in Winter 1975
Comment No. 1 of my loose series on underrated vanilla fragrances.
A find from a swap package. Smelled it and became curious. Of course, I’m into gourmands, and this is a gourmand. It’s even a gourmand as it should be. Creamy opening. Chestnuts and vanilla. A fair in winter. It’s cold. The roasted almonds are quickly eaten up. Quick: Have a cappuccino the old German way - with a thick layer of cream from the spray can and a few chocolate sprinkles on top. The original is unknown at this village fair. That’s how it’s been served here for decades. Why change that?
You wouldn’t want to drink something like this, but smelling it? Yes, definitely. "Tutti Dolci - La Cosa Più Dolce Del Mondo" is not a great fragrance. Not complex, but it evokes good memories. It smells of chocolate, coffee, cream, vanilla, and roasted chestnuts. Sweet chestnuts with a hint of bitter roasting aromas. A bit of childhood, a bit of coziness. It doesn’t create an aura or cloud, but lies creamy on the skin. And Aunt Elfriede’s hairspray, which forms the opening, quickly fades away. Fact!
