not for me
Found this in my sample bag and decided to give it a try today.
The first thing you smell is the clary sage, followed by this acidic note that is the calabrian lemon.
As it dries down it gets more earthy and musky, after like three hours the only thing that is left on my skin is something very mettalic mixed with a mysterious sweetness.
It reminds me of one of those papery thing that you put in the wardrobe to preserve your wool sweaters.
It's not that bad but definitely not for me.

Smells like dirt. Straight up acrid, earthy, dirt mixed with synthetic.
I understand the poor reviews of this fragrance (5.4/10 at the time of this review). There's nothing to be loved from this synthetic, poor mess.

At the start, I get some fleeting citrus and herbal clary sage notes. They're immediately crushed by a weird, synthetic, earthy-like dirt note. I can't comprehend how people would want to smell like dirt. It smells acrid, dirty and synthetic. I also start getting some weird spicy notes from the bottom notes. I can recognize vetiver, but I also thoguht there was something akin to a dark, humid, earthy note of patchouli (even though it's not there).

Is it a skin chemistry thing? Has my sample gone bad for being stuck too long in my stash? I don't understand how someone vetoed that fragrance for the market. I wouldn't buy this. Hard pass.

Fascinating
Rosso Radice is a fragrance that I consider really fascinating: its opening is fresh and citrusy, it has a very interesting contrast: a musky, soft softness, made even more interesting by the ambroxan, which melts with earthy and decisive hints.
Really beautiful in my opinion to wear, like being in contact with nature in an almost dreamlike, graceful environment.
“Me and the village” painted by Chagall.

The Flower in Front of the Cellar Window
Oh dear, I wanted to like the brand. But since this is a place for free exchange of opinions...
At first fresh, green, cool, I had hope... then I thought - I know this smell...

The image of the scent is as follows:
I was sent to the cool, damp cellar to fetch something. It doesn't smell like that musty mold from small cellar rooms, but rather like that from large, old houses, where even the cellar has a certain ceiling height...
The cellar window is open and in front of the window blooms a wonderful, bushy flower with thick blossoms that let a very fine scent flow in.

The air smells musty and fine-floral at the same time.
All in all, I just want to get out of the cellar quickly and take a breath.

Fleeting bergamot and clary sage crushed by a spicy, earthy note of dirt mixed with some sharp synthetics. Way too weird for my taste.

Withered flower,
moistened with tears from the sky.
Strange woody-synthetic facets.
Very unpleasant.

I smell earth. OK. Red root could have been a carrot too...?
I smell cellar, bergamot in the cellar.

Why the damp, musty earth note has to be the focus of a perfume, only Mrs. Martinelli knows. I don't like smelling like that!

Phew! All these molecules and lab notes unfortunately remind me of stale flower water.
Quite sharp and harsh.

Initially citrusy and spicy, it later becomes a beautifully earthy patchouli scent. Longevity is good (~10h) with moderate sillage.

The only Giardini di Toscana that I don't like.
Damp earthy (Patchouli?) with wet roots.

And again I smell patchouli at GdT. Alcoholic, synthetically sharp. Otherwise sweet, woody, spicy with a citrus sting.

It fluctuates between radio salad, earthy root, and slightly damp cellar, with a hint of menthol for me. Not my favorite.

Least appealing to me from this brand: citrus-spicy-warm start with many synthetic notes & an earthy touch. Not my thing.
