Clashing notes followed by a beautiful drydown
I was expecting way worse going with this one, but it wasn't that bad. Definitely not something I'll be adding to my collection since the first hour is a rollercoaster of notes vying for attention, but the score it currently has (6.6/10 at the time of this review) is not entirely warranted.

Beginning is made up of fleeting and gentle citrus fruits. These are soon overwhelmed by the arrival of a sturdy, dark, slightly powdery, earthy cocoa. It's giving masculine vibes to my nose. Paired with wild fruits, this gives the scent a fruity, slightly sour and bitter tinge. Smells like a non-gourmand dark chocolate bar with a sprinkle of dried wild fruits. There's also a weird freshness underneath it all that turns it synthetic. Rose is nonexistent to my nose as the coca takes a good portion of the spotlight at the moment. I do have to applaud the drydown though. It smells like a refined, sophisticated scent of pink pepper and patchouli with a touch of warm, coziness. It's spicy and earthy, but maintains an air of elegance. The drydown blurs the line between masculine and feminine, bringing the fragrance back to unisex territory.

Might have gotten a lower note if it wasn't for the drydown honestly. The top and middle notes clashed together and something wasn't quite right although I cannot point out what the problem was. Won't be going in my collection, but it was nice to test it out!

Beautiful
In India it is said that the sun god stole the blood of Bala, a powerful demon and fled into the sky . Intimidated by King Ravana who tried to stop him, the sun freed himself of Bala's blood, causing him to fall into present-day India. As time passed, the blood crystallized and the ruby was born. Stone of the sun god. Symbol of power.
This is a truly interesting and particular fragrance: citrus fruits support strong and important, earthy, woody notes.
Strong, decisive , but I would really enjoy wearing it.
It takes me back to the beautiful image of a knight, who mixes the sweetness of his beauty with the hardness of his soul, with the virility of his image.
“Knights on the Beach” painted by Giorgio de Chirico.

The Forbidden Fruit
Once upon a time, there was a forbidden fruit in the enchanted forest of Aramour. They shimmered in various dark shades of red. Depending on the light, it glimmered in a mysterious, glossy black or shone golden. Naturally, it awakened the greed of people. When the sun set, it exuded a deep, dark, gourmand scent. Thousands had tried to pick it. Yet every time someone reached for it, it seemed to move a little higher; no one could grasp it.

One evening, Princess Nala went for a walk. Suddenly, she felt something dripping on her face. Startled, she quickly brought her hand to her cheek. “Spicy berry jam,” she noted in surprise. The wonderful scent mingled with the light powder on her skin. Something bitter and edgy flickered in the background. Captivating, noble, powerful, and unattainable, it shot through her mind. This should be the hallmark of her family. This is how the entire royal family should smell. She commissioned the best perfumers in the land to imitate this scent. It took 10 years until someone succeeded: #Rosso Rubino was born.

A rollercoaster of cocoa, wild berries with a tinge of citrus fruits. Finally dries down to a beautiful pink pepper and patchouli scent.

Spicy cocoa patchouli, smells familiar. Loud and friendly.

Very unique, unexpected, a bit masculine leaning. Opening is very citrusy but the dry down is a beautiful mix of cashmeran and pepper.

Strange blend, nothing like the notes. Generic a little bit boring but not bad. Spicy, a bit earthy, not gourmand Cacao nor berries. Unisex.

As a dessert: Dark berries garnished with rose petals and cocoa nibs. Instead of powdered sugar, dusted with musty body powder.

The sweet, artificial berries are peppered in search of roses, simmered + poured into the Cashmeran bath. Too synthetic for me.

Wow, I've now tried all the Giardinis and this one is my favorite. I usually don't like rose, but with the pepper and spices, it's a dream.

Starts off confusingly earthy-fruity, only to slowly reveal itself as Baccarat Rouge within 15 minutes. Not necessary!
