Not a simple color

Indigo is not simply a color. It is also an emotion, full of meanings, perhaps one of the least considered shades but essential, as it is a color of the rainbow.
For example, it is the color of the Tuareg people, who use it to dye the fabric with which they wrap their heads, leaving their eyes uncovered. A protection for them.
It is considered a symbol of devotion, wisdom and justice.
This fragrance, apparently very simple, hides a depth that must be perceived over time.
Citrusy, juicy opening, which has the predominance of accents of talcum powder which however has a structured base that gives personality, where in particular I feel the almond.
Beautiful fragrance, pleasant and clean, to wear in spring.
“Indigo Touareg” by Yasmina Alaoui, an artist who always inserts this color full of meaning into her art.

Sweet, powdery, floral fragrance

A brief hit of bergamot and then you're immediately greeted by the soft, delicate, feminine frangipani with a creamy and powdery almond. Almond is the stronger note of the two, but frangipani here is very well paired. I get some sweet vanilla in the background. Drydown is muskier, but I still get some warm almonds and some lovely sweetness.

Overall, it's giving sweet, powdery, floral vibes, something I think I smelled somewhere already. It's a like, not a love which is the main reason why it won't be making it into my collection, but I do have to say it's one of the lovelier Giardini di Toscana i've smelled up until now. I'm also starting to figure out almond might just not be a note that resonates well on my skin due to the powdery accord I get. On to the next!

Beautiful Almond-Frangipani Mix

Next up is the brand Giardini di Toscana. A great brand for which I have already reported on Bianco Latte and "Borabora | Giardini di Toscana." This Blu Indaco is my favorite from this brand. I can recommend the Discovery Set, as this brand offers 13 samples at a fair price. Especially fans of creamy scents will get their money's worth, as this perfumer, Silvia Martinelli, seems to enjoy these creamy musk notes. Even though the fragrances are rather unknown aside from Bianco Latte, they are worth it if you like these clean and sweet notes. Here, with this Blu Indaco, you get a wonderful sweet mix that is also wearable in warmer temperatures. Of course, the Frangipani is responsible for this, as this floral note has a slightly tropical and summery vibe, creating a summery mood. This sweet almond-vanilla combination is not exclusively designed for cold temperatures. Once again, this white bottle fits perfectly with this clean scent profile. A great unisex fragrance that may be a bit too clean or sweet for some gentlemen.

This white bottle also impresses with its beautiful wooden cap. It offers a great preview and looks fantastic in a niche collection. The price of this fragrance is quite reasonable, although this brand is unfortunately not available on any "bargain sites." However, it is affordable for niche standards.
In terms of scent, the opening features a lot of Frangipani, which already has a slight tropical vibe. This floral-creamy note is accompanied by zesty bergamot, which adds a bit of freshness to the whole. Almond is clearly the star of this creation and takes center stage. This almond note is not very heavy, as one might find in many autumn-winter creations. This creation is roughly comparable to "Infusion d'Amande | Prada." However, this wonderful tropical note with Frangipani gives this creation its own twist. Vanilla and clean musk are also very present and convince with a sensual sweetness. The Ambroxan freshness is also impressive and contributes to this wonderful woody freshness. Overall, it is very uncomplicated despite the sweetness and easy to wear even in warmer temperatures. The white bottle fits quite well as it comes off as clean with this sensual almond note and the creamy Frangipani. Very harmonious and convincing.
Performance is also quite good with at least 8 hours of longevity and a medium to good sillage that is also quite suitable for summer. It can be easily used in everyday life.

Overall, a wonderful almond-frangipani fragrance that already appears quite sensual due to this great almond note. Worth it.

Floating on Almond-Vanilla-Citrus Cloud 7

I had no idea about this fragrance at all, and it hit me unexpectedly like a thunderbolt. Sure, everyone and their grandma knows Bianco Latte by now. Sometimes you even hear about other Giardini scents, like Celeste or Borabora. But this one? Never heard of it.
I was in Bruges over Pentecost and visited a nice niche perfumery there (shoutout to Chocres in Bruges, 100% recommend visiting). They had some Giardini di Toscana fragrances on display, so I decided to test them out.
As I was browsing through the other scents, the fragrance from my right wrist kept wafting towards me: fluffy, creamy, a soft almond-vanilla combo brightened up by a zesty citrus fruit. It was the Blu Indaco, which I had simply sprayed on because I had never encountered it before.
The end of the story: I unexpectedly left the store with this fragrance in my bag. Normally, I would test a scent over days and weeks. Risky, but I haven’t regretted it so far: the fragrance is very suitable for everyday wear, not too intrusive, and pleasant, so I’ve worn it almost every day.

If you like creamy vanilla/almond scents that aren’t too sweet and edible, this is the right choice. Sometimes it even reminds me a bit of a luxurious baby powder (there’s supposed to be a specific audience for that). It also leans towards almond milk body lotion.

Longevity and sillage are decent, not quite as strong as other mentioned GdT fragrances, but still very present in the first hours.

In any case, it was an absolute surprise for me, and I keep wondering why no one is talking about this beautiful fragrance?

I stand in a friend's...

... pastry shop and watch him bake a cake from almonds, vanilla, and lemon that has a creamy note. Various spices are added as well. When the cake is finished, the pastry chef invites me for coffee with the fresh cake. It is simply delicious. He has baked a little masterpiece that can be enjoyed both in summer and winter.

Upon applying this fragrance, the first impression is a citrus freshness with a slight sweetness and the sharpness of pepper. Soon, almonds and vanilla blend in, while the musk (which is not listed in the fragrance pyramid, but is in others) makes this perfume creamy and reminiscent of a lemon tart. The Ambroxan adds a woody warmth. The scent becomes even creamier with Muscenone.

Longevity and sillage are very good.

Here we have a unisex fragrance that I see as suitable from around 20 years old; for the very young, I believe it might not be the right fit, but everyone should wear what they want. This sweet, citrusy, creamy scent is pleasant to wear on both cold and warm days. For me, it is an all-rounder that works well at university, in the office, during leisure time, but also in the evening at a club, bar, during a meal, or at a party. Sylvia Martinelli has created something special with this fragrance.

For those who enjoy wearing a sweet, creamy, gourmand almond vanilla citrus scent, this is a wonderful option at a reasonable price for a niche perfume.

To me Blu Indaco is non-sweet, powdery and somwhat bitter with its bergamot and almond. It seems both edible and and a little toxic.
