Creamy white

White is the perfect name for this fragrance. The colour white although basic and plain, is the symbol of innocence and peace, a shade that can be blended to create lighter colours and neutral enough to make one feel clean and secure.

This perfume for me is like a warm blanket, I feel safe and comforted by its scent. Just like stepping out of the shower, Emporio Armani White leaves you feeling refreshed and clean.

The mild citrus top notes are what initially makes you feel so revitalised. The scent is soft and subtle making it perfect for those warmer months and those casual outings.

The heart is quite interesting. For some strange reason I sense vanilla and milky notes which reminds me of Diesel Plus Plus Feminine.

The drydown is quite obviously very musky, yet in some ways it could be described as being sensual and desirable. The lasting power, in my opinion, was great. It lasted a very long time on my skin. I highly recommend.

A pillar of the "fresh laundry/clean scent" category: white, fresh, clean, pure, warm - perfect.

This white is surprisingly fresh with citrusy hints, also (especially at the beginning) a bit greener than its other white counterparts. The citrus note, initially coming from the bergamot and having a touch of mandarin, is later guided into exciting new paths by ginger and mint, and it remains present throughout the entire fragrance journey. Nevertheless, the warm, fluffy soft musk beautifully shines through, making the scent cozy and comforting. It counters the citrusy and delicately minty freshness with a kind of woody sweetness, and this scent duality carries the fragrance for hours, making it so special. It never becomes too heavy, too dull, or too musty; instead, it always remains deeply clean, without appearing cool or distant. The white musk softness smooths everything out and makes the scent very fluffy, without it feeling generic or playful. Despite all the understatement, it is powerful, and it can confidently demand to be taken seriously. It absolutely deserves that.

An uncomplicated everyday fragrance with great longevity and sillage. A feel-good scent that, despite its freshness and zest, wonderfully slows down thanks to the white musk and ensures a lively yet calm mind. Clarity and purity all around.

Bee, thank you for the sample; you have once again perfectly matched my taste. It's a shame that Armani White for Her is discontinued, as this fragrance is truly one of a kind.

ARMANI WHITE - MY LOVE

My Love. I miss you!

Like so many other lovers of this fragrance, my heart was broken when the production of this wonderful companion of delicate freshness was discontinued.

I managed to snag my (pre-) last bottle in Florence over 12 years ago with overwhelming enthusiasm and was able to celebrate it beautifully in that wonderful city - I am instantly transported back to the vibe of that time whenever I think of this scent.

Some time ago, my husband kindly acquired a bottle of the “RED edition” of Armani White for me - from the depths of the internet - for a horrendous price. I treasure this relic from the past like a gem and don’t really dare to use it. I have only dared to touch this nostalgic magic water a few times so far. In fact, after an initial impression of slight mustiness at the beginning (naturally due to its age), the essence reveals the DNA of the fragrance, which literally sends me into a flashback… I indulge in this flashback very rarely, but unfortunately, it is not an alternative for using it as a daily signature scent.

As for the scent itself - I describe it as I remember from back then: The initially slightly citrusy and faintly “gingery” spicy freshness transforms on the skin into a milky white musk shell - a feel-good aura that fades away with minimalistic woodiness. Subtle, yet not weak, the fragrance presents itself time and again over the course of time. Freshly spicy yet still lovely, soft, pleasing, and yet not arbitrary. A dream!

A White Cocoon

I received this fragrance from my husband yesterday for our anniversary. I haven't smelled it in at least 5 years - before that, it was my signature scent for several years.
If a perfume deserves the term PURE, then it's this one. The scent is light but lasts a long time. Upon application, it is very fresh, spicy - perhaps due to the mint - (don't be misled by the first impression), within a few minutes it becomes very soft, smooth, a bit sweeter (just a little), with a very subtle floral/woody undertone.

If you like Omnia Crystalline - you will probably like this scent as well - there are certain similarities - Armani is less sweet and a bit spicier.

You feel fresh all day long, like being wrapped in a white cocoon of a silkworm. Clear and fresh like a waterfall in the mountains.

Unfortunately, it's becoming harder to find, and when you do, it's only in the 50ml bottle,...
For me, it's a dreamily beautiful scent, easy to wear: elegant with a pantsuit when you want to appear confident - equally suitable for playing outside in jeans and big shades with the kids and the dog - simply clean!

White and Whiter: Musk

I wonder why you can't test Armani White for her anywhere. The not-so-badly stocked Douglas in Frankfurt on Zeil, for example, carries Bond, Creed, and Tom Ford, but when I asked if Armani White was in stock, I was only met with a pitying look: No, this fragrance was no longer available. Luckily, the internet offers better options. So it was a real blind buy, solely based on the description and the fragrance notes. The decisive factor for me was the musk, which also comes into its own nicely in the base.

But let's go in order: The fresh top note is hardly noticeable. Then the fragrance starts with a bit of ginger, which is very easy to identify. However, it is not overwhelmingly sharp, but rather used very subtly. It is accompanied by a light but spicy clove. No other accords can be named, especially no mint, which I am grateful for. Who wants to smell like a cough drop?

Musk is ultimately the main actor here; rather, several so-called synthetic white musk fragrance materials are blended, each contributing its special note. Personally, I only miss a floral note for support. Compared to Acca Kappa Muschio Bianco, Armani White is a bit duller and spicier, and the musk is not quite as present as in the Essence Musc Collection by Narciso Rodriguez, despite or perhaps because of its differentiation, yet it is nearly on par with both.

It should also be mentioned that White for her is also a creation by Alberto Morillas, just like Essence Musc. In my opinion, a kinship cannot be denied, but that is not a problem. For me, they are different enough to have both in the collection.

Conclusion: A light fragrance for the office, not quite as long-lasting as Essence, but a bit more than Muschio Bianco. Skinning and close to the skin, perfect for everyday wear.
