Epochal flower dream
There's the smell I was waiting for. The link between Mahora, the unrecognized genius, the South Sea paradise scent that was ahead of its time, and - wearable. But somehow retro too. And also a little Embruns D'Ylang. Yes, I make it easy for myself by listing fragrances that resemble the Harrod's Exclusive by Anno Dunnemals (exactly 20 years ago!). Actually, I wanted to make a bold thesis: I smell neither the guerlinade nor the musquinade, but I had another idea:
The Tahitiade.
Because a current of the Guerlain scents flows quite obviously into the sea! (bad pun...) And not in the North Sea, but in front of a balsamic, exotic palm atoll.
Although the top note was still very well-behaved and flowery, Belle gradually turns into an animal, ylang-ylang, orchids, medium-heavy spice and - not quite, but shortly before - chewing-gum-like sweetness. Sounds worse than it is, though, because I haven't told you about the green vetiver stems that give it a latent freshness yet.
The fragrance is not trendy, but almost nischig. Fleur de Comores sends his regards.
H/S supi. Not suitable for office use, unless colleagues are tolerant.
I'm so glad I got a generous bottle. Now I can worship my still closed bottle even more than before, now I know what's inside. Mayotte in beautiful!
