a love poem
May rose and violet = pure romance!
A soft pink and white romance, a love poem in fragrance form: that's "Nuit d'Amour"!
To me, it reads a bit girly and dreamy and full of anticipation!
Jean-Paul Guerlain brought here dreams of love in pretty flacons.
Lychee: I remember well eating my first lychees as dessert in a Chinese restaurant in the early seventies; aromatic, not too soft flesh with a big nothing in the middle in pleasant, not too sweet fruit juice. (Aha! So this was a stone fruit!)
By now firmly integrated, I also meet the fine lychee aroma in "Nuit d'Amour", which finds a harmonious partner in the pink pepper.
Thus, the first lines of this fragrant love poem are already white and pink!
A beautiful prelude to the almost forgotten May rose!
Fortunately, it has been remembered and is being grown again around Grasse for perfumers.
Large parts of the original cultivation areas have unfortunately been built on in the meantime; the real estate run with its shark's mouth won out here too.
But they are back! Even if no longer in the former, seemingly endless fields.
(It is to be read that probably also a so-called "rose war" is to have broken out over this flower:
Who grows most successfully; who sells at the best price; who can serve the market - sad, but true!)
The fine "rose of the bride" and the much more robust violet form one of the most classic fragrance communities under the heading: romance!
This dreamy fragrance romance becomes more adult, more erotic through a cleverly dosed droplet of sandalwood oil: the fragrance butterfly unfolds its wings on the way into the adventure of life and love!
Of course, the white musk may not be missing here: warm, lovingly caressing and receptive to the, powdery fragrance clouds generously distributing iris!
Yes, "Nuit d'Amour" is a love poem, framed by pink roses and perky violets, butterflies and hearts, by tulle and bows: the scent of a "May bride"!
A bit weak on the chest; neither busty in durability and sillage, but still delightful!
Jean-Paul Guerlain didn't have to bother with serenades with strings or Mendelssohn's "Wedding March":
With skill and full of love for little things that touch women's hearts, he succeeded here in wrapping dreams in fragrance.
The way to the "Nuit d'Amour" was sprinkled by him with rose petals and lit delicate pink candles!
Who would not like to be here again so young and full of expectation?
By the way, reading love poems still hasn't gone out of fashion!
(Just as little as getting married!)
