Dream garden
"Germany did not buy it", the nice gentleman at the Guerlain stand explained to me after he had improved my pronunciation. Suffle, like little Suffle, not Suuufleee.
I'm angry at myself. I had tested the perfume in Wroclaw (Wrots-uaw - the l spoken with the stick like a fast ua, like in English well - the English say Wrots-love).
There was the scent at D's. And here not at all? He cannot be found on the website, not even in the neighbouring country. Very, very annoying, I thought I could buy the scent at the airport in Wroclaw. I'm afraid they didn't have him there. And now it doesn't exist in all of Germany? Grumble.
If you look at the list of proud owners of the fragrance, they are scattered all over the world - Belgium, Romania and Latvia, from Vietnam via Hong Kong to Australia and the USA. Everywhere there seems to be this scent, only Guerlain-Germany didn't buy it? Why - I forgot to ask this question to the nice gentleman.

To the fragrance:
Start with green notes. Nothing special, I thought.
But then - it is as if it would become light on the wrist. The day breaks over Shalimar. White flowers unfold their scent. Indian jasmine bewitches the senses. The air is filled with orange blossoms. A dream of a garden. Intoxicated by this shining, glowing heart, it radiates into your own heart and conjures up a smile on your face. With an enraptured smile I walk through the world. No matter what unwillingness may come, in the garden of love it cannot harm me. The vanilla is wonderfully soft and benzoin makes the base round and creamy. A cuddly scent.

And what does that have to do with the original Shalimar?
The sapphire blue bottle takes up the shape of the bottle designed by Raymond Guerlain in 1925. The curves symbolize the water basins in the Shalimar Gardens, the fan-shaped stopper the eternal fountains.
Those who wear Shalimar succumb to their own sensuality - according to Jacques Guerlain about the Shalimar he created. The Souffle Intense is creamier, softer, greener and at least as enchanting.

I seriously considered going to Wroc?aw again. First, I love the city with its open, colorful atmosphere and second, there is Shalimar Souffle Intense.
I got the scent after all - in the souk, thanks to a lovely parfuma. My next trip to Wroclaw with a visit to the Botanical and Japanese Garden will take almost a year. Until then, thanks to Shalimar Souffle Intense, I travel to other realms, to the garden of my dreams.

The oriental scent is wearable on cool days, rather for ladies, but also for brave men. It lends style and elegance and a sense of well-being. Opulent sensuality with addictive factor.

"I want some more..."

As the proud owner of "Gerlinesian Shalimars", these as well as their descendants are partly known to me or in the process of becoming known to me.

Sur la Route du Mexique I found an ode à la vanilla and the perfume Initial as well as the "Ur-Shalimara" carry me off again and again into their sensual dream worlds So I couldn't avoid approaching the different breaths of the souffles. The indigo blue Intense and its pyramid connected me most with the Indigo Blue Intense at the first go and so a Tête-à-Nez.

One thing first; I am relieved that it stands out from the more typical Shalimar and vice versa. Family affiliation is evident, the body-shape underlines this even more, but he does not rely on their reputation. Here we stand on our own two feet.

Its green is fleeting, which I like,

deep it goes on, very well chosen.

His blue robe is velvet and heavy,

i like what it hides a lot
A little animal lurks hidden underneath,

you think you can smell it, it's hissing lively,

but this is the Jasmine Sambac who does it
luckily not any more, just fine.

Orange water well-done, absolute,

carries all the notes and celebrates them.

Syrupy and oily, indolish it unites,

some people too much, the smell quickly becomes an enemy.

But patience brings roses, it is written,

if you wait for vanilla, you'll love "Intense".

For this refers to what was before within limits,

many a nose will thank her for it.

Rich, full-bodied and strongly sweet,

lucky they let her in,

because it catches what started before,

makes the bed softer and then leaves it,

vanish into dreamlike swaths and veils

even that may feel like too much for some people.

But through this twist, the twist in the air,

souffle Intense becomes a dreamlike scent.

Who loves it full, balsamic and resinous,

will be amazed at what the scent gives off.

Vanilla feast in the Orient,

as you may not know him like this.

A spell, dream or poem,

lies sweetly and heavily in front of my face.

I can almost touch him
i can't explain it any other way.

A soft, dense, warm pile

and I hear myself saying, "I want some more..."

Unusual scent progression
Dias Soufflé starts surprisingly with a berry note, and it takes a while for the scales to tilt towards floral. It's the jasmine that makes an appearance. It's not a brightly effusive jasmine here, but rather heavy, almost sultry. It seems to have already joined the base notes, showing sweetness and hints of vanilla. It stays like that for quite a while and I like it.

Then something happens that, as far as I remember, I have not yet experienced so in a fragrance: From the heavy, sweet, warm perfume becomes a bright and light floral scent. I am irritated, this is usually the other way around. And I'm not really thrilled either. I've never encountered such a watery orange blossom before. It's only when I look again at the fragrance pyramid that I see that orange blossom water is actually listed there. Anyway I don't particularly like this change, even if the jasmine is still present in the background.

After a while, the fragrance then finally turns into the base: it becomes vanillig sweetish with still a floral suggestion.

I know, this now all sounds like a decent Wummser. But that is - at least with me - not the case. The Soufflé Intense moves with me quite close to the person and mostly directly over the skin. But the shelf life is good with up to 8 hours.

Conclusion: I like Shalimar Soufflé Intense well, even if I could do without the twist to the orange blossom water gladly. Only the bottle reminds me of the original Shalimar.

"K" Pour Femme
The inclined reader probably asks himself: "Huh? Has she forgotten a few letters?!"
No, the perfume "K" by Dolce & Gabbana actually exists, it's for men, but 1. I think the bottle is pretty cool and 2. my girlfriend has it as a fragrance (otherwise I would have somehow never known about the existence of "K"! ^^). She likes spicy wummser, and I had the Dior Addict from her.

Launching it does it quite tangy-green and spicy. (I also smell something citric, but it's not in it according to the listing.)
But then the fragrance slides directly into a flattering combination of white flowers, orange blossom water and jasmine. The green notes, however, remain present all the time and prevent it from becoming too pungent. The vanilla comes much later and elegantly settles into the white flower bed, surrounded by jasmine and orange blossom.
The DryDown is vanilla-spicy with a slight sweetness. But the spice always remains subliminal, just like the Dior Addict.

Shelf life and silage are good I'm wearing it today, but I'm going to give the AF to my girlfriend, because I know that I'm hitting the bull's eye with it, we are very different when it comes to fragrances, even if we have certain intersections (Black Opium EdP or Dior Addict).

For me it is a winter and evening scent. Today I wear bright red lipstick and am covered in black - with this scent even the bright red lipstick doesn't feel "too much" or "painted". :-) Spring and autumn were still possible or summery evening events.

The water is somehow noble and keeps its distance. When you are scented with it and write letters, you write "Sincerely" under it and not "Best regards", if you understand what I mean. :-) You keep your head straighter, your chin higher.
Fits for me also not at all to the couch and jogging socket.

I like it, but a touch too spicy for my taste. And probably because of the colour it reminded me of the "K" of my girlfriend, only really sweeter and creamier. So Pour Femme. :-)

Déjà Vu: Jasmine under the orange tree
And once again, the community has led me to add a fragrance to my wishlist that normally would never have been a potential purchase. It is only with the greatest pleasure that I take you through the little olfactory journey of Shalimar Souffle Intense.
The first sniff:
This creation by Guerlain starts, as it so often does, with green stems and leaves. The flowers are about to release their naturally-intoxicating fragrance into the air. In this scenario, imagine the white buds of jasmine, bursting with green sap to provide energy for the flowers to develop. After a few minutes, the buds begin to open and the innocent, virginal scent of the newborn blossom wafts towards you. More and more buds open, including other white flowers, which here act very purely and in solidarity with each other.

The course:
Shalimar Souffle Intense binds more and more white flowers with and becomes fresher but also soapier. What surprises me here, however: The fresh-clean note does not bother me here at all, because it is not at all pungent or tart, rather it remains feminine and sensual clean. This way goes the perfume, however, only about 10 minutes, until finally the climax is reached: (Maybe that's my very personal highlight but I really like it best here)

Until now, you do not recognize the listed vanilla yet at all, which speaks for the multidimensionality of the fragrance. And now it appears for the first time, but not alone... it is accompanied by orange blossom, one of my absolute favorites when it comes to processed florals. If you take a closer look at the heart notes of the fragrance, it rather features orange blossom water. Honestly, I can there very probably not yet really see a difference, but I suspect that is the origin of the Aquatik, which I perceive here quite also.

In any case, the white flowers, except jasmine, recede more and more into the background, but never completely withdraw. By this modest behavior of the top notes I experience a Deja Vu:
I, lying under an orange tree, below me the lush green grass and above me the tree draped with oranges and orange blossoms, which gives me protection from the sun. This is vacation, what I am experiencing here right now. Jasmine and orange blossom are in absolute balance, neither steals the show from the other here.
And now comes the cherry on the icing on the cake - Guerlain vanilla
Described differently, according to the dream situation described above:
Under this shady, floral-scented tree, I'm drinking a creamy, cold vanilla milkshake.

I guess that's all there is to say....

Although, I can actually go on...

The durability is impressive, on the skin it lasts more than 10 hours and also the projection comes lush, which is why I will be careful with the dosage, because one spray too much means potential headache for others.

Conclusion:
This is not a gourmand, and it's not vanilla for dinner. That said, it is intoxicating and dreamy. I, as an absolute gourmand lover, have a very hard time liking pludgy-clean scents, but this is not what I was expecting.

Try it definitely if you recognize here certain similarities to your preferences!

Timeless fragrance. I'll never get tired of it. A shame it was discontinued.
