First Uomo Review
I thought I would preface this review with stating that I do not own a bottle of Guess Uomo, although my brother has this cologne so I've worn it multiple times.
I find projection and silage to be moderate, 4 hours for both, this doesn't become a skin scent over time, it's more so there or it isn't. This isn't bad for an eau de toilette. Projection can actually go from moderate to good if you use more sprays.
The opening is harsh and synthetic, much in the way CDNIM is except you take out the smokiness and swap the lemon for lavender, almost smells like lavender disinfectant for 2-5 minutes but it completely dies off after about 5 minutes. I have said this about CDNIM and I will say it here, I won't fault a scent for a harsh opening since we don't wear them for the opening and it doesn't stink or anything of the sort.
The mid notes really do make this fragrance good, I am a big fan of geranium and it combined with the saffron and sage makes this quite a good scent. It's a very powdery, fresh, floral scent with a spicy edge to it. This scent is masculine but not overly masculine or offensive, a woman could pull this scent off. This is a pretty safe scent, most people are going to like it.
The only slight problem I have with this scent is the price, it's a little bit high. RRP is $81 AUD which is ridiculous and not worth it. However it can be brought at discounters like CM here in Australia for $50 AUD which is more reasonable however in my opinion there's better options at this price point such as Dolce & Gabbana's K EDT, this will always come down to personal preference however.
I would say this one is blind buy safe!
