Beautiful peppery fougere fragrance

RSE is a well refined fougere fragrance, it's like a breath of fresh air, particularly after the mundanity with its freshness, spiciness, and earthiness. The leathery, woody, and ambery notes are well blended and beautifully kissed by tobacco.

A reminiscent of old classic of high quality old-school scent profile with a modern twist. However, the peppery note is more pronounced to my nose from the mid to the drydown than the opening while the opening is more citrusy.

RSE is a tasteful and well refined fragrance, which describes the identity of a high powerful-gentle man!

Masterpiece

I recently discovered fragrances from HJ. Each is great quality and brings a lot of joy to the wearer, but Roi is unique.
What, imo, distinguishes HJ, is the masterful mixture of individual, high-quality ingredients.
I love EO, ALD and Bortnikoff, but HJ joins them in all her glory.
In Roi we have leather and tobacco, but also noticeable patchouli and amber.
Supposedly mixed, but you can feel the individual ingredients, which is not popular in the fragrances of other brands.
Deep, complex. brilliant! Love it!

Warm aromatic - ambrosial - woody herbal

This is 360º of peppery clary sage with its purest natural form. Animalic and body sweat-like in opening, allied with patchouli and bergamot to chill them out, but a thick attachment of tobacco and leather registers for a king-size warmth and dense bitterness, that continues the realm with Roi Sans Équipage's dry down where it meets warm, a bit sweet and smoky amber accord which I find too much for such opening.

If I have to sold all my fragrances, I would only be left with one, it would be Roi. Masterpiece.

Significantly better than the spray version. I would spend the extra money and get the oil. Better longevity, denser scent profile.

Way fresher and citrusy compared to the Edp,RSE oil is in my opinion very different of his counterpart. I do prefere than one though,sorry:(

For me, one of the best scents from the brand. The oil is clearly superior to the extrait. There's nothing unpleasant here...

They could have called it homme d'hommes. I've hardly smelled a better gentleman scent. The saleswoman described it as the fragrance of a noble grandpa.
