Musk Oil Black Henry Jacques Extrait de Parfum

I kind of overlooked this one until a friend sent me a sample. It’s highly reminiscent of Bortnikoff’s Musk Khabib, although the latter leans more oriental in character.

This is a beautiful, undeniably sensual vintage-style chypre. The musk evokes the real deal, deer musk with a wonderfully natural warmth. The opening combines soapy nuances with rich balsamic facets before gradually evolving into something darker, dirtier, and more animalic. The contrast between the clean, almost polished opening and the deeper, more decadent drydown is absolutely captivating. The ylang-Ylang creates an exotic effect. Bravo
