The Best Vanilla I've Ever Smelled
The first time When I first heard about this brand luxurious brand was in a small perfume shop in Tel Aviv and I met a friend from there who used to work there and told me about the Henry Jacques brand. I was very intrigued and he told me "their scents are crazy"!
I arrived on vacation in Dubai and smelled the Blue Vanilla for the first time. The first perfume I smelled from the brand was this!
And I can say that I have never smelled anything like this. An interesting aroma blend with cardamom and geranium.
And the vanilla tobacco comes with an amazing and very luxurious depth! I couldn't stop smelling my hand. After a long search in the Grand Mall in Dubai, I found this store. I was very excited and returned to it again and again when I was in the mall. My experience at Henry Jacques was exceptional. I recommend everyone to try their scents.

Volbeat - For Evigt (2016)

She was 16 and wanted to slowly belong to the girls who seemed a bit more grown-up. She picked up some things from the others. And one of them, C., who was one of the nicer ones to her, asked her one day which perfume she wore. She also wanted to wear a scent from time to time. So she wished for the same fragrance from her parents for her birthday that C. had mentioned.

That this scent was actually not suitable for a sixteen-year-old didn't matter to her. When she went out on weekends, she carefully dabbed the fragrance behind her ears, with which she felt so grown-up. Noble spices, a geranium rose, and a clove, fine woods, and a dreamily elegant vanilla surrounded her. Yes, this is what being grown-up feels like. The scent was heavy and sensual and lingered on her skin for many hours. The longer she wore it, the more prominent the vanilla became. In her memory, there is also a rose. Or was it the geranium rose? She doesn't recall the tobacco scent in detail. If it was tobacco, then definitely fresh tobacco. No lighting up was done.

The memory of her very first perfume comes immediately after sniffing Blue Vanille by Henry Jacques. Of course, hers was by no means as noble and not as expensive, but this vanilla and the spices that greet here are good acquaintances. She didn't own the small bottle for long. In the end, the scent wasn't 100 percent her thing, which is why it soon had to make way for others, but the memory of it is all the more beautiful today.

If it weren't a Henry Jacques with an extraordinary price, this fine memory might even enrich the collection.

Thank you dear Gandix for this wonderful journey.

This comment and my review of the fragrance refer to the Eau de Parfum. Since the EdP is not listed, I am placing the comment here under the Extraît.
The brand Henry Jacques was not really known to me until now, as it probably isn't to many others. It was only through the sharings of Witwe Bolte that this changed.
The internet doesn't really provide much information about this traditional house. For a very long time, they exclusively produced custom-made fragrances on customer order. That sounds elitist. It probably is. But to be completely honest, it would be a real dream to have my very own fragrance created. Only gradually have they (reluctantly) opened up to the wider public. However, "wider public" isn't really accurate, as the branches are rare and apparently very selective. In Europe, the fragrances are apparently only available at Harrod's. The house of Henry Jacques has certainly not shed the habitus of a private and exclusive fragrance manufacturer. Harrod's charges prices starting from around €500 to over €2,000 for the fragrances. That's quite a statement. Such a pricing policy naturally also protects against the fragrances becoming widely known. However, before I would reach that deep into my pocket, a lot, a whole lot, would have to happen. But I don't want to dwell on the prices any longer. Everyone has to assess that individually.
Now, however, to the fragrance itself. Blue Vanille is a total work of art that makes it almost impossible for me to break it down into its individual components.
The fragrance starts off somewhat "fresh," although I couldn't say which notes are responsible for that. It's not a normal freshness, rather a bright and friendly impression with a hint of sweetness. The "aromatic notes" indicated in the pyramid could be it.
Immediately following is a light, spicy, fine tobacco. It is clearly recognizable and is also a constant throughout the entire fragrance development.
Dry, light woods lay beneath the tobacco. Very fine and subtle.
Delicately smoky, spicy vanilla and ultra-fine, very light musk finally drape themselves like a veil over all the components, embracing and connecting them.
Overall, Blue Vanille is a densely woven fragrance, in which there are no real soloists. The fragrance seems more like an orchestra. Here and there, you can recognize individual instruments, but the big picture is what matters.
For me, Blue Vanille embodies pure and seemingly effortless elegance and beauty, which, however, never comes across as arrogant or pretentious. Nothing here seems forced, and nothing is put on display. The fragrance radiates sovereignty; everything loud and ordinary is simply foreign to it. This is also manifested in the projection, which is rather moderate and close to the body. Blue Vanille enters into a symbiosis with the wearer, clinging closely and providing an incredible sense of security. In a way, Blue Vanille thus appears as shy of the public as the house of Henry Jacques itself.
The quality claim of the house is clearly recognizable. There is nothing off the shelf here. And these fragrances certainly wouldn't fit into the 08/15 assortment of any random perfumery. However, they would fit into those of some German big players (Alsterhaus / KaDeWe / Breuninger). Especially since traveling to London is currently quite risky.
Maybe one day Henry Jacques will have mercy...

Blue Vanille is spicy and woody with mild tobacco, soft vanilla and white musk in the base. Slightly reminiscent of Gucci pour Homme II.

Review of the spray version. Great smell with lots of aeromatics. Longevity is ok, sillage sucks. Insultingly overpriced. Similar to SDV.

Sweet and spicy tobacco-vanilla with a clean light-woody base, insanely elegant, personality-filled, and high quality.

A very harmoniously balanced tobacco vanilla scent.
Vanilla is present from the start. Then the tobacco comes in nicely.
Very well done.

The noble vanilla tobacco is very well crafted, but it doesn't completely convince me: Guerlain can do this even better, in my opinion.
