I and aquatic fragrances: here is an exceptional talent.
With this fragrance, you can not antagonize.
I hope.
He is for me really like a trench coat: functional, inconspicuous and not always suitable, but mostly.
I associate it with a garden.
Not in the actual sense, but my imagination of a garden here is very striking and yet Gentle : Green freshness, no heat, chaos, dreamy atmosphere and hidden.
Pepper gives spice, but not in the exotic sense, the scent remains fluid.
Lime gives fruitiness, but not in the lovely sense. Ginger seems artificial, but pleasant. Decent twist.
The fragrance touches me.
Very much imagination is in it.
Nevertheless, he is not warm.
An enchanted and hidden garden.
You probably overlook him very quickly, but, if you have found him then, you want to linger there for a long time.

A book tip, classic, but for friends of English humor: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I am sometimes too serious, but the fragrance here, by Jean Claude Ellena, flashes in me something that should not be too often at all, so that you do not stop:

Breeze over Bora Bora
Night falls over Bora Bora, the last rays of the sun hit my skin. A gentle breeze blows down from Mont Otemanu over the dense forests and brings a smell of woods. The bouquet of spices and the freshness of citrus fruits are added to this. With time, the night becomes darker and the scent less citrusy, as the spices come out more strongly. I am possessed by a wonderful lightness and a feeling of happiness. It's one of those perfect moments that you can't really describe, but that you remember for a lifetime... every time you perceive Un Jardin après la Mousson.

the chick and her gardens
Those who have read reviews of mine know that I am a fan of Hermes and its gardens. All of them are special and have a typical Hermes DNA.
Un Jardin sur la Lagune is my absolute favorite among the gardens. But Un Jardin après la Mousson is also fantastic.

If I close my eyes while spraying on, a film immediately runs in my mind's eye....

Summer, early in the morning, I put on a dressing gown. The birds are chirping their good morning song, it still smells like freshly cut grass, the dew is on everything, the sun is just flashing over the hills.
I sit in the garden with a carafe of ginger-lemon herbal water, enjoying the morning freshness in anticipation of a hot day....

The scent manages very well to conjure up an image in the mind and evoke feelings. There is nothing I appreciate more.

Refreshingly tangy and slightly spicy. The nuances are neatly balanced.
First I smell the grass and vetiver what comes along with strong, citrusy impacts. The slight sharpness and spiciness is never intrusive.
I was worried at first that the coriander could bother me. That is not so.

H+S is unfortunately not quite as long as I would like. But still he belongs to my summer favorites, along with the other gardens of Hermes *.*

Petrichor after the monsoon
I am actually a fan of citrusy fresh scents and stay away from heavy fragrances. My absolute favorite scent is "Un Jardin sur le Nil" and now that I have read the books by and about Jean-Claude Ellena, my interest in his other compositions was piqued. Of course, liking a fragrance by a particular designer does not mean that you will like the others. Each fragrance is an individual composition and yet it is often said that you would recognize Ellena's signature in all his fragrances.

So I tested myself through the "Un Jardin" series and admittedly, it was not difficult for me to love the scents. The rooftop garden with its fruity fresh pear tree, Monsieur Li with its bergamot and citrus scents and the citrusy spicy Mediterranean garden. And then the garden after the monsoon - unexpected, oppressively turgid and hardly bearable. What's he doing here?

At first I was very ambivalent. Heavy, sultry fragrances, so I do not like. How does something like that fit into the series of otherwise so fresh, fruity gardens? But it did not take long at all, the bottling was empty. The fragrance is infinitely interesting and different from everything I have smelled so far.

A garden on a balmy summer day. The lawn has just been freshly mowed, the herbs are ready for harvest, lilies bloom and exude everywhere their bewitching smell. A damp smell hangs in the air, the sky is closing in. And then, a heavy rain shower, the dry earth can hardly absorb all the water, the scent of flowers disappears with all the water. As quickly as it came, the shower disappears.

I smell the slightly spicy coriander, I smell some cardamom and slowly develops one or the other little flower but just very timidly and slowly, because after the monsoon is first everything wet, the air sultry damp and the gentle floral scents are difficult to perceive. The fragrance for me is Petrichor, a garden after the rain. How did Ellena manage to capture a scent overhung by heavy humidity after a rain shower?

As much as I've come to love it, it was hard to snag another bottle. Apparently, the fragrance is no longer produced and is difficult to get. My bottle I will therefore guard well. For me, it is a treasure that I wear for myself in the evening. In the fall and winter it brings me the memory of a muggy, rainy summer day. Whether the fragrance is well received and wearable in everyday life, I don't even like to judge. For me, it is a work of art that has somehow managed to capture the beautiful scent of a garden after the rain. Would there be a fragrance museum, Un Jardin après la Mousson would get there a place of honor.

Ellena's wet, earthy spicefield
The ginger and pepper really pop out to my nose, at least during the first 30 minutes. I also get a moist, wet, rainy vibe. This scent really gives me a great visual image of what Ellena had in mind when creating this. I've had the same experience with Un Jardin Sur Le Toit. Ellena is a wonderful man! It's almost as if I'm walking through the spicefields in India after a heavy rain.

This is very spicy but in a fresh way, though I don't find this an everyday scent at all. It's very earthy and wet. I find it to be quite sharp. It's strange how things change as I liked it the first time I tried it, but shortly after that it made me nauseous when I smelled it. I've heard people talk about a melon vibe which I understand, perhaps that's what turned me off from this.

Ginger-spicy green, which at times goes into the tart-bitter, but without being suffocating. This creates a certain tension.

I was on fence with the rating. Very grassy, vetivery scent. On the other hand, very distinct melon notes. Wet, earthy, fruity-fresh.
