Beautiful sweet-spicy cheapie
Time for a cheapie again. Often, my cheapies that I review come from Dubai. This time from Italy, from the brand Iceberg. This brand makes fashion, which I also find really cool and own some pieces. In contrast to the fashion, the perfumes are quite affordable and can definitely be categorized as cheapies. The older Iceberg releases are of course much more vintage, while the newer ones are very modern. This Change The Flow from 2022 is a modern sweet-woody scent that you can already get for under €20. I bought the 50ml some time ago. It's worth it as you have a great sweet-woody fragrance that is very easy to wear and doesn't clash much. Nevertheless, it has something unique that could be well received. I don't quite agree with the fragrance twins mentioned here, but I find that it has a slight "Casamorati - Bouquet Ideale (Eau de Parfum) | Xerjoff" vibe. This soft sweet wood and warm base. I really like this direction.
The scent comes in a nice box, appealing yet ordinary. The bottle has a cool wobble image, which is something different and rather rare. It has something and is quite stylish.
The fragrance has a wonderful spice that is really harmonious and never too much. This is taken on by saffron and ginger. Saffron is rather tame compared to many creations of this time with this note. This ginger spice is also very pleasant and they harmonize very well. Additionally, there is a slightly bitter-citrusy note, here in the form of bitter orange. There isn't really a fresh burst, but it's also not heavy due to the spice or sweetness. Later, a wonderful tobacco spice comes into play, which plays one of the main roles in this creation. Not the exhausting tobacco stuff, but rather warm-spicy and absolutely pleasing. Leather rounds off this spice well and gives it a noble elegance. The base then comes with a lot of wood and warm amber. The beautiful and soft woody tones set in early and make the whole thing very soft. Along with a stylish sweetness that is present throughout the entire progression. Very rounded and not clashing. Smells noble and could easily be mistaken for something much more expensive. Even though it is rather masculine, this scent is very soft and could suit many people.
Performance is already at a good average. The sillage is not an attention-grabber, but quite solid and in a pleasant range. Longevity should be around 8 hours. A great scent for in-between, for everyday use or even more upscale occasions. I especially see it before and after winter, but also in mild temperatures.
Overall, a great cheapie with very soft spice, sweetness, wood, and warm notes. A definite option for the small wallet.
