Beautiful sweet-spicy cheapie
Time for a cheapie again. Often, my cheapies that I review come from Dubai. This time from Italy, from the brand Iceberg. This brand makes fashion, which I also find really cool and own some pieces. In contrast to the fashion, the perfumes are quite affordable and can definitely be categorized as cheapies. The older Iceberg releases are of course much more vintage, while the newer ones are very modern. This Change The Flow from 2022 is a modern sweet-woody scent that you can already get for under €20. I bought the 50ml some time ago. It's worth it as you have a great sweet-woody fragrance that is very easy to wear and doesn't clash much. Nevertheless, it has something unique that could be well received. I don't quite agree with the fragrance twins mentioned here, but I find that it has a slight "Casamorati - Bouquet Ideale (Eau de Parfum) | Xerjoff" vibe. This soft sweet wood and warm base. I really like this direction.

The scent comes in a nice box, appealing yet ordinary. The bottle has a cool wobble image, which is something different and rather rare. It has something and is quite stylish.
The fragrance has a wonderful spice that is really harmonious and never too much. This is taken on by saffron and ginger. Saffron is rather tame compared to many creations of this time with this note. This ginger spice is also very pleasant and they harmonize very well. Additionally, there is a slightly bitter-citrusy note, here in the form of bitter orange. There isn't really a fresh burst, but it's also not heavy due to the spice or sweetness. Later, a wonderful tobacco spice comes into play, which plays one of the main roles in this creation. Not the exhausting tobacco stuff, but rather warm-spicy and absolutely pleasing. Leather rounds off this spice well and gives it a noble elegance. The base then comes with a lot of wood and warm amber. The beautiful and soft woody tones set in early and make the whole thing very soft. Along with a stylish sweetness that is present throughout the entire progression. Very rounded and not clashing. Smells noble and could easily be mistaken for something much more expensive. Even though it is rather masculine, this scent is very soft and could suit many people.
Performance is already at a good average. The sillage is not an attention-grabber, but quite solid and in a pleasant range. Longevity should be around 8 hours. A great scent for in-between, for everyday use or even more upscale occasions. I especially see it before and after winter, but also in mild temperatures.

Overall, a great cheapie with very soft spice, sweetness, wood, and warm notes. A definite option for the small wallet.

Melting Icebergs...
During my shopping trip yesterday at a local drugstore, I made a brief stop at the fragrance shelf without any great expectations, letting my gaze wander over the rather sparse selection there.

Somewhere between Caline and the "spray-on" range from Rammstein, they had squeezed in an iceberg. The "Change the flow," which caught my eye solely due to the more than noticeable "SALE" price tag. The name Iceberg stirred up some youthful memories in me. After all, one of my first fragrances in my teenage years came from this "Bella Italia" brand...

Alongside 100 ml for 35 euros, they were promoting 50 ml for 7.50. There was no tester to be found. So, I quickly googled it on my smartphone, or rather "parfumot," and soon enough, the item found its way into my shopping cart. In the meantime, I own quite a few designer fragrances from entirely different price segments. Nevertheless, I also enjoy testing "low budget fragrances" and have been positively surprised more than once.

Earlier, I then removed the outer packaging. The bottle didn't exactly ignite a storm of enthusiasm in me. "Crowned" by a - as expected - cheap plastic cap. But so be it. What primarily counts are the inner values... And these have, I admit, pleasantly surprised me.

One thing should be mentioned first: This is not a dupe. At least my somewhat (in my humble opinion... :) well-trained nose couldn't detect any explicit original here.

But now to the core:
If you are looking for something for the awakening of spring or even for mild summer nights, you are absolutely on the wrong track here.

This is definitely a fragrance primarily for the dark season. Autumn and winter. Dark, spicy, warm. Saffron at its best. Spicy, leathery. A dark aroma garnished with a certain - though not overly pronounced for my nose - sweetness. A spicy tobacco note is clearly noticeable.

As already mentioned, the edT is, in my eyes - or better said in my nose... - not a clone of any successful fragrance. However, it is also not a niche fragrance. The components used are simply too common for that. Nevertheless, Iceberg maintains a certain individuality.

How L'homme ideal can be named as the most similar fragrance is a little mystery to me. Anyone who is open to the fragrance direction of Spicebomb/Spicebomb might find "Change the flow" quite appealing, in my opinion.

Regarding longevity, I can't say much yet considering the short "exposure time." I will gladly follow up on that.

All in all, I am positively surprised. In terms of price-performance ratio, this anything but cold iceberg makes many other more expensive fragrances look outdated. Moreover, as already mentioned, you don't get a replica, but an appealing fragrance with its own DNA that doesn't clash and will surely appeal to many noses.

Addendum: As promised, after the "exposure time," here is my assessment on longevity / sillage. Both are quite decent, especially for this price level. I give it a 7 twice. In my obligatory "long-term note comparison test," Change could definitely hold its own against higher-priced products from this fragrance category.

By the way, during my subsequent shopping trip at Rossmann, I bought another (the last one in the store) 50 ml "dose" at the bargain special price of 7.50 euros.
For the money, it's truly a steal and a solid 10 in terms of price-performance ratio. (I adjusted my rating here in the test to the normal price.)

Unexpected but definitely a keeper!
At the end of the eventful year 2022, I found myself in the mood to try out new fragrances again in the cold, wet weather and swung my butt straight after work to the Rossmann just around the corner and wandered into the department for hopefully fine scents!

My expectations during this visit were completely neutral, and I simply wanted to indulge my curiosity for interesting new fragrances.

First, I noticed the Rammstein fragrances, which filled half a shelf, and I sniffed through them one by one where testers were available. I actually found a candidate that I liked, but it was only suitable for sun and sea. "Seemann Intense Ahoi!"

At this point, I thought to myself: "You already have so many summer fragrances, something else has to come along!"

Thought and immediately executed, my nose continued the search for an interesting but above all non-summery scent...

After Zino, One Million, La Rive Cabana, Drakkar Noir, I stopped at the newly released Iceberg Change the Flow. Okay, "new" doesn’t necessarily mean good, and unfortunately, a tester was not available, but the price for such a new fragrance was very affordable, and the fragrance shelf was packed. So, of course, I pulled out my smartphone, and the hunt for the fragrance pyramid was on!

"
The top note is spicy-fresh, and the saffron makes you crave more.

Then the heart note: tobacco with leather notes! That was the point for me, hmmm this could become a damn interesting fragrance, "if" the leather doesn’t dominate too much..... hmm

In the base note, of course, amber was found between sandalwood and cedarwood. All fragrance notes that I like.

"
After my research, it was clear to me, this will be a blind buy!

In no time, I was at the checkout and could hardly wait, like a little child, to unpack the Iceberg and take a sniff...

Even before leaving the store, I had to unpack it, and my nose was more than rewarded after the first sniff from the sprayer! Ten out of ten!

But before I completely lost my mind in the store, I quickly left the building towards my car and applied the first spray on my right wrist and.... and....
WOW. The opening is indeed fresh-spicy with slight citrus notes and a hint of saffron, BUT right from the start, the tobacco stands out in the background along with the fresh spice, and that was truly love at first sniff for me! After about 15-20 minutes, the leather also made its presence known, which for me was the turning point. Because.... the leather was perceptible in the background, very clearly, but it never moved to the forefront. WONDERFUL! Exactly this combination of tobacco and leather is what I wanted!
The projection of the fragrance was bombastic from the very first spray! I couldn’t describe it any other way. You probably could have smelled me from the other end of the marketplace!....
But I liked that, very noticeable but not intrusive, rather attractive, just like the crêpe stand around the corner.

The base fragrance combination of the aforementioned woods and amber still convinces me thoroughly to this day, although I must say, I can still smell the tobacco and leather the next day, which makes the fragrance truly unique for me.

I was simply overwhelmed by the fragrance. Never has a blind buy been so rewarding for me as this one!

What makes me a bit skeptical here on Parfumo or makes me doubt the batches of the fragrances is the performance of the fragrance according to other Parfumos. The sillage of Iceberg is absolutely overwhelming for me, so an 8.5-9 out of 10. It couldn’t be a 10 out of 10, because otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to breathe around me due to the perfume. :D

All the better I find the longevity of the fragrance! It easily projects beyond the 8-hour workday for me, and after 12 hours, I simply stopped paying attention. So yes, the performance for me is absolutely brutal.
Even the next day, the perfume is still very noticeable on me and my clothes, and it survived a shower as well.
For my standards, the fragrance is a price-performance monster like no other!

With such an accessible fragrance, compromises had to be made, and they were made exactly at the right spot, because the bottle looks just terribly boring and insignificant. But I mainly care about the scent and not the bottle. ;)

So I thank everyone who made it to the end and ask for your understanding, as this is my first review.
And I hope to have sparked someone’s interest and curiosity for this perfume, because this fragrance is worth it!

Fragrant greetings
Sir Roxas

Love at first sniff.
Actually, I didn't plan to test this fragrance that day and then end up buying it. I actually wanted to try the Rammstein fragrances that are exclusively available at Rossmann, so I went to Rossmann and searched for about 5 minutes until I found Kokain Gold in the back corner, but unfortunately, I didn't like it at all.
Shortly after, I saw Iceberg Change The Flow and I had only heard good things about the fragrance so far and was even close to buying it blind.

So I took it out and sprayed a little on my other wrist. Immediately, a beautiful gourmand note spread, but one that I had never smelled in comparable fragrances before. After a while, the scent became softer and rounder, and a note that reminded me of a sweet pancake emerged. I felt a bit like I was at a Christmas market, perceiving the sweet scents around me. I thought about it for a while and tested other fragrances until I decided to take it with me. 20 euros for 100ml seemed like a good deal to me.
To conclude, Change The Flow is a very good winter fragrance that I can only recommend to anyone who enjoys this type of scent. H/S is also okay for the price. So all in all, a very successful new fragrance from Iceberg!

Softly sweet charmer, reminds me of L'homme idéal. Just slightly spicy, sweetness dominates. Unisex. A bit tame. But well-made synthetic.

One of the best sweet-spicy scents in the price range of €10-20. Gentle spice, pleasant sweetness, tobacco with light wood. Nice.

Had to buy it blind (without a tester): Luckily, I wasn't disappointed. Spicy CINNAMON and similar, with a woody feel. In terms of style (not scent) like->

Tobacco, leather, dark spices, and sweet cherry. Starts spicy/leathery and then becomes sweet in the drydown. Great for autumn and super affordable.

Delicious winter/Christmas scent. A hint of cinnamon, citrus aroma, soft tobacco, smooth leather, and a warm, slightly sweet amber/wood base.
