Tea for one
Such a good, detailed review by Franfan20 ! It made me think twice about what I intended to write, since the tea fragrances are an aquired tase. But I could not shake away my first impressions, no matter the admirable longevity that I seek in a scent. And here is how I feel this perfume:
A cup of tea in the solitude of a shadowed spot of a green square, maybe a vegetable garden, maybe a corner of a japaneese garden, without visible flowers, just the scent of tea and guiacwood everywhere. Now and then you look around in search of the fig tree since you think you smelled its aroma in the air. Maybe I was wrong; there was not a fig that I had smelled. Maybe I should look for someone wearing a gardenia on the corsage because I smelled just a little bit of gardenia. Could not discover it. And I sit alone with my cup of tea. I do not like to be alone!
This kind of perfume is an aquired taste but it is not my "cup of tea".

Skynet's gardenia
Ineke’s Hot House Flower is a gardenia soliflore that smells like a cybernetic tropical bloom, green foliage that has become self-aware, and the simulation of lushness accompanied by cool circuitry. Like if Skynet’s neural networks got hooked on plant haul videos on YouTube and went into botany instead of killer robots.

Deep and layered
Got a sample of this from Ministry of Scent and so sad I'm late to the party. This reminds me of when I worked at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Very wearable and the only white floral/gardenia I've liked so far. Tea scents and fig are my favorite notes, so this was bound to be a winner. Lasted at least 6 hours on my skin (lost track of time a little) but would do desperate things to get my hands on a full bottle and keep this front and center in my collection.

Beautiful, but not unique
This is not a fragrance for perfume lovers who do not like tuberoses and gardenias. And whatever is stated in the pyramid, it's good that it doesn't translate for me. "Hothouse Flower" promises something quite unusual, the sultriness of a tropical greenhouse, for example.
Although the gardenia is related to jasmine, which I usually find very problematic in fragrances where it dominates, I love many scents with gardenia and tuberose. But even among those, there are quite a few that I do not like at all.
"Hothouse Flower" begins with a lovely gardenia scent, which I believe is also flanked by tuberose. However, it is not so easy to distinguish between the two notes, at least not for me.
Moreover, all the notes I can perceive are immediately present. Besides the gardenia-tuberose, I actually smell a tea-like bergamot, light green notes, and a creamy musk. The Earl Grey note adds a slightly fresh citrus note to the fragrance, brightening the gardenia and/or tuberose and allowing it to smell as if kissed by a gentle fresh breeze.
A fleshy dark green scent, as often used in fragrances with tuberose, e.g., the F. Malle scents, is completely absent in "Hothouse Flower."
This lovely fragrance blend lasts a very long time. And although it is very hot today, the scent does not overwhelm me. "Hothouse Flower" has lightness and transparency for me. I find "Hothouse Flower" at no point heavy or sultry, but rather lovely and cheerful. I do not smell any incense or corn silk. Although I also do not know what to imagine under the scent of corn silk. Incense would have bothered me in this fragrance.
I also do not smell any woody note. At most, with a bit of imagination, I sense slight resinous hints; perhaps that is already referring to the incense.
As beautiful, cheerful, and light as I find the scent, it is not a new fragrance. "Hothouse Flower" is, for example, very similar to "Do Son" by Diptyque.
The longevity is very good, and the sillage remains relatively strong for a long time. Even as it fades, "Hothouse Flower" does not change but only becomes softer.
"Hothouse Flower" is predominantly a feminine fragrance.

The Color of the Bride
As a representative of the more sensual-warm and sweet faction, I tested this sample more out of curiosity than interest. Neither the gardenia nor the green notes have really convinced me so far.

This fragrance has definitely proven that this can change very quickly. Although I have tested several gardenia scents that are also beautiful, none have turned my head like this one.

This scent inevitably brings the color white to my mind. The color of the bride. Young, fresh, elegant, and full of joy and happiness. The sillage is beautifully noticeable, and the delicate gardenia scent in the base envelops me like a noble picture frame surrounds the photo of the bride. The other fragrance notes act more like the loving groom who accompanies the bride but leaves the shine and attention to her.

Man, it makes me want to get married again and drag my better half to the altar.

An incredibly elegant fragrance with a beautifully noticeable yet discreet sillage, ideal for a bride who wants to get married this May. But also for occasions that require an elegant natural appearance. Although the scent is not the same, it reminds me of Sensi by Armani in its nature.

Delicate tuberose-gardenia scent with a lovely Earl Grey top note, the drydown is smooth and everything fits... (unfortunately, I'm not a tuberose fan)

Gardenia + lovely tuberose, bergamot-flavored tea = Earl Grey, green, creamy musk, nothing more to smell, light fragrance.

Luxurious and generous, gardenias bring the rich abundance of summer after a warm rain.
The lush gardenia life!

Starts green-floral: Tamed gardenia floats on a teacup, releasing aroma. Fig joins in and takes over at the end with wood, as it's unbalanced.

A flashy geranium-tuberose bouquet with plenty of greenery. Rich sillage and longevity. Too over-the-top for my taste.

Extremely floral, with a hint of fruity notes. Surprisingly fresh. Light sweetness. Lovely.

The green note unfortunately doesn't resonate with me, but the fig does (unfortunately!). The scent has a coconut tropical touch for me.
