Realistic spiced chai

Jaipur Chai smells like realistic spices - the ones you expect to find in a spiced chai latte: cardamom, cinnamon, a bit of clove. It feels warm and dry at first but there is some creaminess and sweetness as it dries down. I don’t really pick up on the tea note and it isn’t extremely lactonic but it does smell pretty true to a masala chai with milk. As far as chai fragrances goes, this is one of the most realistic I’ve found (the other being Chai Ultime from Morari which is a truly photorealistic milky frothy chai latte. I also really enjoy Moon Magic Extrait de Parfum for a true chai spice but the lavender note puts it in its own category for me).
I find this infinitely more pleasant and realistic than Chai Extrait de Parfum and while I like Moon Milk Hair & Body Mist, it’s chai lite, while this is the real deal.

Maybe chai isn't for me

This scent opens with strong clove for me, backed by cinnamon and then a little cardamom so it's not sneezey-spicy. Once it dries down though... There's something... I don't know, empty about it. It kind of smells like you got a really nice cinnamon roll from a bakery, and they gave it to you in a cardboard box, and you ate it right away and then a day later smelled the inside of the cardboard box.

I guess I'd say it has a papery quality? Definitely echo the other reviewers that it's not very creamy at all. I feel like this wouldn't suck as a spicy scent for spring.

I will definitely give it another try in a few weeks, because I don't hate it, I just feel that it's lacking.

simply chai

A drier take on a chai that maintains a sweetness and airiness to it. It is missing a lactonic factor to it that is described on their website as a steamed milk but I get none of that here. Nonetheless it’s a lovely simplistic composition of warm spices leading way to woody black tea and hints of soft sweetness and musks. It’s chai done very tamely but in a way I think it works for what it is. Really really enjoyable

Yoga to drink, relaxing, the way home

Very, very delicious, a lot of spices radiating warmth, a bit of freshness - maybe a slice of lemon? Aromatic cinnamon fills the room, fine sweet vanilla in milk, it warms my heart. The rose has hidden itself well under this bouquet of spices. My thoughts drift away, cozy blankets, soft light, and I am deeply within myself - I’ll call this my soul yoga. A beautiful feeling, I am at home. As it develops, the scent becomes woodier but very subtle. Like very old wood that has been stored dry for a long time and only gives off a very delicate earthy scent. Tea aromas from the finest English black leaf give it depth. I would also gift this scent to my best friend. For me, it has something very loving; I lie in deep calm and relaxation in warm and secure arms. The scent lasts a long time, a wonderful sillage. The next morning, I still have a delicate veil of fragrance on my skin.
I didn’t expect it this way, thought something very heavy was around the corner. No, it is modern, intense but not overwhelming. A very noble and fine fragrance experience, it immediately captured me positively.
