Sweet, pretty fluffy cloud
After using this scent countless times over the course of many months, I want to get it out of my head. I became obsessed with the scent as soon as I tested it and now I have come to the conclusion that I will not be buying the whole bottle. The scent is not bad at all, it is just as good as I briefly wrote seven months ago: "Beautiful pampering velvety leather with fruity nuances and subtle sweetness. Well blended, attractive, chic, versatile as well. Perfection." Despite its addictiveness and excellently crafted blend, it still feels pointless to add it to my collection. This is not a head-turning scent or one that will be remembered for its uniqueness weeks, even months later. This is a well-made, safe and easy choice.
The scent is an incredibly beautiful and balanced composition, and it will definitely please most people who like sweet scents. Its fruity aroma combined with cotton candy, candy-like violet and the softest and softest leather create an addictive elixir that you will want to sniff endlessly. The soft base of pure musk and cashmere really create a feeling of a fluffy, velvety texture, which wraps its wearer in a safe blanket.
The scent has been compared with "London (Extrait de Parfum) | Widian / AJ Arabia" , Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum and Tuscan Leather Eau de Parfum but I disagree about the similarity. First of all, the fruity note is clearly different, after all it is Blackberry and not Raspberry. There is a similar ease in Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum , although it is not quite the same fluffy cloud, but rather clear and transparent, Tuscan Leather Eau de Parfum being darker. As for "London (Extrait de Parfum) | Widian / AJ Arabia" , the leather and fruity twist of Raspberry are much more clearly separated from the blend than Blackberry and the leather in Kama . London is oriental in structure with a dominant ambery base and the scent has some kind of darkness in it, while Kama in my opinion does not meet the criteria of an oriental fragrance at all, but in all its sweetness, deliciousness and ease it even leans towards the gourmand category and if I have to describe it as a color I would say baby pink.
The difference also comes in who the fragrance is aimed at. Of course, fragrances are subjective and everyone can wear what they want, but the categorization still helps to understand the fragrances. While all the aforementioned fragrances are unisex or even lean towards the masculine, Kama leans towards the feminine. The structure of Kama without Oud remains extremely versatile and crowd pleasing. Its leather note, despite Birch Tar, is very subtle, the sweetness of the scent is tuned up with cotton candy, bringing out a playful nature, and the gentle, caressing, comforting base finishes the scent in a class of its own from other fruity leather scents. This scent can be worn anywhere and anytime, I don't think it bothers anyone. The projection is very moderate, it's a gentle cloud around the wearer.
Thank you for reading, I hope you liked my review.
