THE Surprise
Drugstore fragrances make up maybe one percent of my collection. Most of the time, they smell trivial, somewhat fruity with a bit of woodiness, and ultimately totally forgettable. Therefore, I prefer to invest my money in more expensive scents that I enjoy all around. BUT - there are also a few true treasures in the drugstore! I was drawn to the two letters on 007 due to a Payback promotion at the drugstore. On my next visit, I sniffed it and was initially stunned - such a great scent, and it also comes in a beautiful bottle! I love rose gold and also like the shape of the bottle; it truly does not need to hide in my high-end collection.
007 starts off on my skin with a zesty note, and then the raspberry makes its presence known. Normally, berry notes on my skin always smell like - sorry - sweat, but here the fully ripe fruit really comes through. Later, vanilla joins in, but the fruity aspect definitely dominates. By now, I have actually sprayed the bottle empty, and that happens really rarely! 007 was my companion in spring and summer, as it simply suited so many occasions. The only downside: the longevity. After just two hours, it is hardly noticeable, so you have to reapply more often. Therefore, there is a deduction in this point; otherwise, the fragrance impresses across the board. A thousand times better made than Olympéa, the new YSL, and Co.!
