Youthful Memories

I was once young and foolish too. Can I say that? At least this was one of my first aftershaves, when my facial hair resembled more of a fuzz. It had to be affordable and trendy. With the introduction of Daniel Craig as the new Bond, there was almost a hype. You wanted to be cool, so you bought this shaving lotion.

The top note came across quite fruity, green, and citrusy with bergamot and unripe apples. In the heart note, it became a bit herbal thanks to cardamom, and lavender added floral nuances. The base was slightly woody, somewhat green-earthy, and marginally resinous. The scent was okay, but the longevity was subpar, like with "James Bond 007 (Eau de Toilette) | James Bond 007."

Ordinarily Perfectly Executed

The scent is ordinary. That's true.

And I don't like to break the opinions of others, but the James Bond series is often treated quite poorly and expectations are set that shouldn't be.

The fragrances are in a very affordable price range, but they are a real insider tip if you want a good, clean, and simple scent.

The reactions to it have been consistently positive from non-perfume enthusiasts. Clean, clear, simple, and practically usable.

Shower gel with a bit of bergamot and vetiver.

The longevity is average for an aftershave and should last just under 2 hours, although I must say that I usually wash my face again and use a moisturizer afterward.

The moisturizing effect is good, and you can definitely feel some relatively long-lasting cooling menthol, even though it only gives you a refreshment and doesn't freeze your face off.

The sillage is okay, average, and fades after 20 minutes. I don't expect more from a grooming product for after shaving. Not for €13 for 50ml.

The rating of the bottle is an absolute mystery to me. I've rarely experienced such a good bottle in this price range. The short twist of the "spray guard" feels high-quality, nothing wobbles. The glass is well-crafted.

Anyone looking for a good, affordable, and clean aftershave will enjoy this.
