A warm sweet smokey scent for the colder months
A glass bottle with a magnetic wooden cap contains a very inexpensive (14 Eur for 100ml) eau de toilette that is perfect to warm up the colder seasons.
The opening is quite masculine with a spicy tobacco, that brings memories of cigars, liquor and card games being played in smokey clubs of years past. This heavy start could maybe deter someone from this scent, but it perfectly sets the tone for the heart notes.
Coconut, fig and spices emerge from the smoke to bring a warm, more familiar vibe. From the clubs we are now at home. The notes are clear and sweet, but never invasive.
Very subtly a comforting scent of vanilla, tonka and cocoa develops, lingering on the skin: a hot chocolate appears on the mind.
Social Club lasts 5-6 hours, the first hour being louder while it becomes a skin scent for the last one. It's definitely a scent for the colder months, even though the coconut note can give it something of a tropical vibe.
The label design on the bottle I unfortunately find quite tacky, but otherwise it's almost a perfect scent for my taste and experience.
