Multiple Bottles
This is the only fragrance I have multiple bottles of. This is elegance in a bottle. Honesty a 10/10 for everything. It smells great in the opening with a bunch of spice (not Spicebomb extreme suffocation) but a nice soft spice with a leather undertone and it lasts a long time. After the spiced opening you get a nice floral smell with the rose and Patchouli and it’s amazing throughout the whole time. This lasts me around 7 hours which is good enough. I wish it lasted longer since it’s so nice but then again… that’s why I got multiple bottles

Arabian in Nearly a Kind of Perfection
Due to the comments from Leimbacher that often led me to purchase a fragrance without ever having smelled it beforehand, I also acquired this oriental stallion. €95 is no small change, but the bottle does come across as very elegant. Neija unpacked and sprayed on the test strip. Meanwhile, I had already sprayed some on my hand. On the test strip, I was greeted by a full wave of oriental spices, with incense and cumin. The incense was very dominant. A leathery undertone was also detectable. It smelled strong, powerful - not too playful, but after 15-30 minutes a slight sweetness comes through. Especially on the hand - it reminded me of plums. Ripe plums well nestled with incense and a small pinch of other spices that gave me a cinnamon-like note. After an hour on the skin, a beautiful shallow but dominant oriental tone emerges. Soft, shallow, enchanting, and strong at the same time. A great composition, very sensual. Certainly genius for the evening. On the test strip, I still smell the incense as very dominant - even after more than an hour. A skin test is definitely worthwhile here. I can't say much about the sillage and longevity yet. I would estimate the sillage to be in the upper third. The longevity is also to be rated as good. After about 4-5 hours, unfortunately, you only smell a lot of spices and the incense is dominant. The perfume is definitely not sweet after the dry down, rather spicy. I definitely do not regret having ordered the fragrance blind. Those who like similar creations, such as (in the broadest sense) John Varvatos Dark Rebel or Hugo Boss Soul - will find something very beautiful here. Compared to Boss Soul, the sillage here seems stronger and the scent is more dominant, more oriental - it has more spiciness and is less sweet. Compared to Dark Rebel, you get a very sensual, finely tuned fragrance that forms a unity that does not immediately scream - "take me, I smell particularly striking." The spice of Arabian Nights is still very dominant but not sweet.
I would summarize the fragrance as follows: "Look here, the emperor is coming" - not intrusive but always present, very finely tuned. Definitely something for the man who knows what he wants and who he is. Can certainly appear seductive and mysterious. A distinctive creation with recognizability.

In my private space, I let the cumin dangle
After what felt like years of curiosity about how the differences from the already beautiful original Arabian Nights would manifest, I was able to wear it over the last few evenings (restaurant + "Hateful 8"), the even more expensive Private Collection. Wow, what a powerful, full-bodied oriental. Just as good as the original, but surprisingly far from its deep black oud. Both full of shine & glory, a dream in Arabia. Arabic nights in olfactory form. Both are hard to come by, but absolutely worth every cent & every effort.

The Private Collection has the most in common with the rose from the black obelisk/original; the rest is just as oriental but lighter, brighter. At the same time, it is also incredibly animalistic & masculine, dirty & sweaty. It sounds unpleasant, but it smells heavenly, extraordinary, different for anyone who has even the slightest hint of being an Arabia fan. Almost like two blind buys that are calculable even at the rather high prices. An explanation of the blend of masculine, Arabic & the noblest gold: a lot of cumin at the beginning, which slowly evaporates & embodies olfactory sweat. It is, so to speak, the counterpart to the oud, which is hardly discernible here. If there is wood, then most likely cedar in the dry down. The main artery is, however, filled with cumin, rose, amber & incense, perfectly interlocked. 1001 power.

Bottle: more golden, but also a bit kitschy compared to the original
Sillage: good for showing off, spending, going out, flirting
Longevity: still quite strong even after 9 hours

Conclusion: just as impressive, strong & suitable for going out as the original Arabian Nights, with a slightly dirtier, even more oriental undertone. Those who like potency monsters & orientals can’t go wrong with either one, both are a safe & sexy bet.

Purring kittens, soft and super subtle. A restrained oriental like Raghba&Co., really nothing new, already a version given X times.

In my nose, it's less oriental, more very woody. Unfortunately hard to find. The search is worth it!

A beautiful Arabic-inspired masterpiece from the land of flamenco. Spicy-woody, yet with a certain sweetness => highly recommended.
