Tobacco Wood Nights?!
Whatever, I like staying here! This scent is so seductive that I had to get it after trying a sample. Then the good old ShaunBaker also snagged a bargain and got this Spanish flagship oriental at a good price on the bay, yes, yes, we always advise against eBay purchases, but anyone who clones Tobacco Woods Nights would be foolish, it doesn't sell like a Xerjoff or Tom Ford... although I did fall for a cloned Kouros Vintage, thanks to buyer protection I got my money back :-) But that's another story.
So we find ourselves in the Orient, or rather where tobacco is grown. The tobacco comes in after the cola opening, which first needs to settle. Then it starts off quite dry, comparable to the tobacco in Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, but entirely without vanilla, instead with clove and lavender? I can't really pick out the latter here. However, what
woody notes, labdanum, patchouli, and tonka bean can do in the base is clearly demonstrated by TWN. At this point, the still dry tobacco becomes increasingly softer and creamier, as it is embraced by the mentioned notes, transforming from dry to sweet. Towards the end, the sweet tones dominate, the tobacco gradually disappears, and sweet, woody tones remain. In the base, it strongly reminds me of "A*Men Pure Wood | Mugler," which offers sweet woody tones from start to finish.
What I basically want to say is that the fragrance goes through a great scent evolution, and every 10 minutes you have a different impression. The sillage is not bad either, although not overwhelming; as for longevity, I won't give any hour estimates, but it falls in a healthy middle ground.
The black glass bottle is well executed with the golden plastic embellishment and the black plastic cap. I have nothing to complain about, as most bottles are just glass and plastic caps anyway.
