Mystic (Leather) Nights
Here it is after such a long time. My first comment. I was just a voyeur for long enough.
I had imagined my first time quite differently. I actually intended to dedicate my first comment to one of my favorites. But when I saw MLN in a perfumery in Adana (Turkey) the day before yesterday (it's definitely an eye-catcher; a stylish, high-quality bottle) and read the magical word LEATHER (I love leather scents), I had to test the fragrance.
I immediately checked on parfumo. What? No comment? And 25 parfumo users have this scent on their watchlist? I have a mission ;-).
Having said nothing for long enough, let's get to the fragrance.
Right next to it was Arabian Nights, which was sprayed on the other wrist.
MLN is very similar to AN in terms of sillage and longevity. That’s it regarding the similarities.
MLN is much less sweet for an oriental fragrance. It's rather spicy/dry. In its further development, it becomes slightly floral, and I can clearly smell the roasted pistachio, which lasts until the end. I personally find that very delicious.
Speaking of the end. Didn't I read something about leather? I think I know how leather smells; I've smelled many leather fragrances, but here it unfortunately doesn't stand out.
Overall, I like the Arab well, especially since it doesn't come off as sticky-sweet and the spicy/floral pistachio is pleasing. If only there were leather. Or is something wrong with my nose?
