Like a Greenhouse
I got a sample of Gardez-Moi by Jovoy a while ago and promptly forgot about it. I remembered it as pleasant, but nothing more.
Then I decided to try it again on a rainy July day, and suddenly, I was transported to a greenhouse, the kind you’d find in a zoo’s butterfly house. It’s vibrant, green, and bursting with aromatic notes, though there’s a faint medicinal edge to it that I quite enjoy.
The blending is so masterfully done that I struggle to identify individual notes, but the green, botanical vibe is unmistakable. It feels alive, lush, and fresh, like stepping into a living ecosystem.
Note on the name: Gardez-Moi translates to “Keep Me” in English, but in French, it’s also a play on words that evokes a sense of protection or care, as though the fragrance itself is asking to be cherished or guarded closely. It adds a poetic layer to an already intriguing scent.
