A game of contrasts.
It opens with a citrusy and fresh grapefruit, juicy, immediately reached and intertwined with the green, bitter and slightly vegetal note of rhubarb. To this citrus and green sensation is added, in the development of the perfume, an almond accord, more similar to the Amaretto liqueur, therefore a slightly alcoholic bittersweet almond, which is immediately supported by the resinous and woody note of fir balsam.
The closure of the fragrance rests on the amber and musky notes of ambroxan, and a light powdery tonka touch to add harmony to the complex fougere accord of the heart.
I find it a very pleasant, versatile perfume, usable in all seasons, played on the contrast of the initial bitter citrus and the always well-balanced sweetness of the more woody heart and the comfortable amber and musky base.

Beautiful Unisex Scent
This opens with the most glorious mix of tart, sour citrus, mostly grapefruit on me, subtle lavendar and the green freshness of rhubarb. I really did not think this combo of notes would work so well together- or at all, really, but I was so wrong. The combination is very refreshing and practically sublime.

In the middle, the citrusy accord, from the top notes, remains for quite some time in the heart of the scent, keeping the sense if freshness. The fir balsam joins the citrus first, at least on me. I grew up in a little house on the edge of the woods, where there were a lot of fir trees, and it's a relaxing scent for me. In 21CS, the fir is realistic, rich, woody and (obviously) balsamic. I really like the sour edge the citrus brings to the fir. With the sweet, nutty and only slightly boozy amaretto, it's a fabulous scent cocktail with a spicy accord.

The drydown isn't super special, but it is well done, maintaining the spicy accord, which goes well with the ambroxan, tonka and woody notes. For those who find ambroxan problematic, the ambroxan isn't too strong here. It softens and rounds out some edges, but it isn't dominant.

This is a superbly blended unisex fragrance, and at our house, it is a true homerun. My husband likes it on himself and on me (kinda rare), and I love it on both of us (not at all rare). I also think it's very versatile and appropriate for many kinds of events.

21CS has excellent performance, longevity is close to 9 hours before it fades to a skin scent, requiring a shower to remove. On fabric, 21CS is nuclear. Projection is approximately arm's length for the first few hours, and you'll leave a soft sillage trail, even as the fragrance fades.

Bitter Orange, Rhubarb, Amaretto, Piney Woods
I wrote a statement earlier but had to return and give an update on my first full wearing.

Yes, there is bitter orange throughout while rhubarb is in the background.

Not until the 6th hour do I finally make out the fir balsam and the liqueur, amaretto. It may come across as a little sweet to some, it did to me but getting a whiff of balsam sure made up for it

Plenty of sillage and staying power.

A unique citrus & rhubarb that turns sweet - very intriguing!
21 Conduit St is an intriguing perfume from Jovoy. It is supposedly a celebration of English lavender, but that accord has been rendered unrecognizable by rhubarb, bergamot and other assorted notes. Marie Shnirer also introduces a pungent green cannabis note into this unusual mix as well. Without knowing much, I thought 21 Conduit St was where the cannabis shops in London are located. But it is just the address of the Jovoy store in London. This curious perfume is a creation of Marie Schnirer and Oli Marlow.

Jovoy lists rhubarb, grapefruit, lavender, bergamot, almond, fir balsam, woody notes, ambroxan and tonka bean. The opening is powerful blend of rhubarb, lavender and citrus accords, laced with a green cannabis accord. This green cannabis is not listed as a separate note, though Marie Schnirer suggests that this cannabis accord is intentional. Perhaps this note emerges from the combination of some facets of rhubarb, bergamot and lavender. The opening soon becomes citrusy with a hint of vetiver. The almond-amaretto and fir balsam make a slow appearance, emerging from this woody citrus. The sweetness of almond-amaretto accords act as a bridge to the bottom notes. The base notes on my skin are sweet, a blend of ambroxan, tonka and perhaps a hint of woody notes. Initially, I considered 21 Conduit St to be an eccentric curiosity, but I have come to love it as a unique yet versatile beauty.

21 Conduit St performs well on my skin with a longevity of 4-6 hours. The sillage is modest, as can be expected of citrus-heavy fragrances. It may work as an office scent, after the initial rhubarb and cannabis notes subside. But there are other safer office perfumes available as potential options.

I don’t recommend a full bottle of 21 Conduit St, because I can’t really position this perfume in my fragrance universe. But I won’t complain about a smaller 15 ml bottle as I have already bought one. It is a good example of rhubarb, and a demonstration of the similarity between the rhubarb and the green cannabis accords. I confess that this perfume is growing on me, after my initial reservations.

Blending a Classic and Modern Man
This modern barbershop fragrance is for a modern man who loves to dress in vintage clothing. He will walk down the street in a full tweed suit. He is confident, stylish, but somehow still approachable. This opens with a unique balance of tart and juicy citruses and the grapefruit in particular stands out. This freshie will develop light spice and wood notes to round out the complexity of the fragrance. Unfortunately, I found the dry down to be a little bit scratchy. Its like they use all the best ingredients until they got to the base notes and threw in some generic crowd pleasing notes as an afterthought.

This fragrance is lightly aromatic but mostly it sticks close to the skin. For me, this fragrance lasted 4 hours on my skin. There are two sizes available starting at 5ml for $29 and 100ml for $200.

I admit a slight resemblance to Burlington but that's only in appearance. Overall well made and versatile. Unisex

I've smelt this before, sorta, but this is great quality and definitely not TdHermes, no mineral note here. Citrus/Woody and rhubarb too.

Wow, this might be my perfect rhubarb juice, really matching the spring to summer transition. Fresh aromatic + tanguyness from the rhubarb !

It’s a decent light citrusy perfume for everyday use. I expect citrus to fade but it doesn’t. it stays bitter all along.

First few minutes a lot like Burlington (without sweat-like cumin), but then this is linear rhubarb + Tygar, drydown again more like Roja

Here, some beautiful notes have been combined in a very inappropriate way. Rhubarb, citrus, and pine clash with the ambroxan-heavy base.

An interesting take on grapefruit-rhubarb scents, as resin and ambrox soften the meaty intensity and ground the fragrance. I like it.
