Naturally classy
Pure, elegant, powdery: it's an apparently basic fragrance perfect as daily scent in every season. It's as minimal as classy, just like a white silk shirt. Clean and refined, it has a discrete sillage.
I smell on my skin a slightly smoky -bitter tobacco shade I appreciate: maybe its more sensual soul?
If violet (a color I like so much because as spiritual as magnetic ) was a scent, it could be like this.
Just a little remark about the price: in the last time the prices or the products by L'Erbolario are a little higher than before, but anyway quite good (about 22€ for a 50ml size and about 32€ for a 100ml size). So, I think you don't waste your money if you buy this elegant and Eco-friendly fragrance!

Powdery and Accessible
No earthy or rooty iris here: Iris by L’Erbolario offers a soft, powdery take on the flower, leaning more toward a clean, elegant and comforting vibe.

It’s a simple, easy-to-wear fragrance with no fuss, but well done. And for such a gentle price, it offers great value.

Likely to please many, especially those who enjoy iris scents without too much complexity.

Airy powdery iris
A powder-puffed dreamscape, a violet echo in alabaster air, the feeling of a sigh against clean skin, the brush of quick fingers on purple velvet. Iris is ethereal, calming, and long lasting -- the ultimate powdery fragrance. one needs not spray excessively to be enveloped in the softest notes of iris and vanilla. Despite its lasting power, Iris remains soft and unassuming, a memory just out of reach. My ideal bedtime fragrance.

At this price point, Iris is a steal, and should be included in every powdery iris lover's collection. I look forward to trying other products in this line.

Dusty Powder Scent
I enjoy testing L’Erbolario fragrances. I find most of them excellently crafted. And now I am testing a scent with a note that is generally known for its soft and delicate aroma, the iris, which likely makes every fragrance powdery. Here, with this fragrance aptly named “Iris,” you can really smell this note well and intensely.

The scent:
The top note consists of a citrus-spicy bergamot and sweet floral notes from ylang-ylang. However, you can already smell a rather powdery and gentle iris, which even becomes more intense.
Some may perceive the strong iris as “dusty” or dry, which is due to its powdery presentation, giving the feeling of about to “inhale” or sniff something (but not what you think, although what you think does look dusty/powdery!). Anyway, soon musk joins in and gives the fragrance a gentle and beautiful sweetness. The vanilla, which is more pronounced than the musk, makes the scent even softer. Overall, “Iris” is, as mentioned, a very soft and powdery fragrance; however, I do not find it dry. The tobacco only appears after some time, adding a slightly harsher note (but not smoky) before it soon disappears again.

Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is unexpectedly huge, especially for a powdery iris scent. On me, it lasted nearly 14-16 hours and even more on my skin. Sure, at some point the sillage isn’t as strong, but still, I could smell it well for a long time.
The sillage is okay, quite good for a powdery iris scent, as it radiates well and can initially be perceived quite well by others. But even later, it has an above-average wonderful sillage.

The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and colorless. It has no label; instead, everything is printed directly on the glass. On the front, you can see an iris plant next to the name. On the back, the fragrance notes are probably listed (I’m not sure, as I only know the bottle from pictures). It is topped with a gray-silver high cap. Despite its simplicity, it’s not bad.

Hmm, yes, Iris is a wonderful… well, just an iris scent. Very powdery and fine-dusty, sweet, and even with good sillage.

This fragrance is more of an all-rounder; I think it can be used in any season. Normally, most powdery scents are rather subtle and serve well as feel-good fragrances or for calmer occasions. However, those who like it “dusty” and powdery can even wear this one for going out, as it is indeed stronger, but probably still gets overshadowed by all the other “sillage powerhouses.” But that’s okay; it will smell good nearby and still be pleasant.

Is this fragrance worth a blind buy despite its affordable price? Normally, you wouldn’t go wrong, but it might be that you’re not into such powdery scents, so I would prefer to test it first.

For me personally, it has become a very beautiful women’s fragrance, typically L’Erbolario!

It's Teatime
'Powdery'? Before this fragrance, I had a notion of what 'powdery' smells like - now I know.
"Iris" by L'Erbolario is a scent that I can only describe in images.
As soon as I applied it, I envisioned a little old lady with white curls, dressed in a dusty rose sweater, having tea.
So not just any old bag, but really an old lady. The kind you imagine a grandmother to be. A bit like from a film about the English country gentry. Preferably with flowers on the sofa.
The counterpart to the old lady in fur that I see when I think of Chanel No.5 & Co.
Or simply my Aunt Elsa, to whom I have already dedicated a comment - namely about "Camelia" (also by L'Erbolario).
The information from the ingredient list led me to expect a different scent.
I remember bergamot as a fresh ingredient, and ylang-ylang didn't stand out to me either.
Hawthorn isn't familiar enough for me to notice it, and I know the namesake iris as an intensely fragrant garden flower. (This scent is also intense - a dab on my arm immediately caught my husband's attention, who rarely comments on my perfume obsession, when he walked into the room.)
Tobacco didn't come through for me, but there might be a hint of vanilla and musk.
But no matter what - the scent smells exactly like the luxurious body powder of my old aunt that I remember.
As I said, old(!) rose and dust-dry.
By the way, my girls are once again claiming that I'm still too young for such scents...

A sweet powdery iris with a strong (rather) synthetic fresh opening followed by a cloud of softness and sweetness that dries down slowly.

Very powdery iris. Too simple & outdated.

Despite beautiful notes, this scent comes across as biting and synthetic to me. I'm waiting in vain for a delicate iris. Makeup pot and hairspray.

Teint de Neige similar, just much cheaper. Extremely powdery iris. Strong, sweet, synthetic scent that can get annoying over time. It's a matter of personal preference.

Retro soap + powder, at first everything the puff can give,
Hawthorn threatens indole, but then not,
yet iris-vanilla-musk cloud

For me, a soapy note and a dense powdery cloud define the scent. At first, it’s quite heavy and overwhelming, later it becomes moderate.

Like it soooo much better than Teint de Neige, lighter yet noticeable, fresh floral powder without headaches, not too expensive! Bravo!

Floral powder shock. She is ghostly porcelain doll pale and smells musky-animalistic. Unbearable!

1 spray: powder explosion that lasts two days. Dry iris, similar to Teint de Neige. Very intense, not for everyday use.

The resemblance to Teint de Neige is unmistakable... But the "Iris" doesn't have to hide under the "snow." POWDER-DREAM-CUP
