Hey hey folks, how are you doing? Given the extreme Corona situation once again, I really hope you are all healthy! I'm back here with a new fragrance, and for the first time in a while, it's a scent with tea notes, which I particularly enjoy testing.
It's "Foglie di Tè" by L‘Erbolario, a brand that is sometimes a bit cheaper than the average designer fragrance, although I feel like L‘Erbolario used to be even a bit more affordable. Anyway, a cheaper fragrance doesn't necessarily mean it's bad; on the contrary, there are both great inexpensive scents as well as absolutely terrible and really expensive ones. Just take a look at Tom Ford's Black Orchid; that thing smells so deadly that even the environment is affected... no wonder there's a little sticker on the back of the Black Orchid bottles stating that it's harmful to the environment... but it's true, if you don't believe me, check it on your bottle if you're one of those people who actually owns this death scent :D
But alright, let me finally get to this fragrance, which is supposed to warm the heart and refresh the spirit, just like a cup of tea!
The scent:
Right from the start, I smell wonderful tea, which I find absolutely delightful :)
The tea smells freshly brewed, and overall the fragrance feels quite fresh, mainly due to the citrus notes like lemons. I'm a bit unsure about the verbena; well, if that's meant to refer to lemon verbena, then you can smell it, otherwise, real verbena is supposed to have a rather subtle scent. After a few minutes, a bit of lavender comes in, giving the fragrance a slightly classic touch.
A little later, the scent becomes a bit milder, although it was never really intense. Light floral notes appear that are hard to identify (at least for me). However, pleasant-smelling flowers are still present, especially lavender, albeit in a somewhat subdued form. Even later, the tea seems to mix a bit with the mate, as it now smells a bit different than at the beginning, but of course still quite lovely! In the end, a very light sweetness comes through, which must be the indicated musk.
Otherwise, the scent remains as described towards the end, just that all the notes continue to blend together and naturally become weaker over time. All in all, it's not an outstanding fragrance, but still quite nice.
The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is rather weak and will likely only be perceived by others from close range. The longevity is okay at over six hours, although it projects rather weakly in the last hours.
The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular with beveled edges and is blue. There is no label; instead, the name and brand are printed directly on the bottle in bronze-gold lettering. You can also see a drawing of the tea leaves of the Oolong plant. Overall, it's quite simple, but still nice.
Conclusion:
Yes, I must say that Foglie di Tè is one of the good L‘Erbolario fragrances for me. The brand has released quite a few fragrances by now, and it's always worth sniffing around, as they do offer some really nice scents, although unfortunately, most of them are no longer available. In any case, Foglie di Tè is still quite new and therefore available, but I never recommend blind buying, even if you might think the fragrance sounds great. It's better to try it out first :)
In terms of type, I would classify the fragrance as an all-rounder, but it leans more towards spring and summer. Due to its somewhat casual aura and not too long-lasting nature, I would recommend it more for leisure, especially during the day or for work. It's a pleasant scent that shouldn't disturb anyone nearby.
And that's it again. And hey, I think I've managed to write a fragrance description without offending you ladies, right? No, wait... I did call some of you crazy... on the other hand, that only applies to those who like Black Orchid, because there's really no hope for them... :DDD
He he, so then, have a nice evening and see you next time :)
