Nothing is burning here

Nothing is burning here, and the fire department doesn't need to intervene. It smells of hay, freshly cut grass, but with a hint of smoke, a touch of green tobacco leaves in the background... Suede with a light breeze of spring air... Everything works smoothly and effortlessly, nothing difficult or abrasive here. Elegant and soft, and it actually reminds me of Prada Luna Rossa.

The Meadow is Burning ---- the Fire Brigade is Running....

In my seemingly endless search for "the" hay-grass scent, I treated myself to a sample of Paname, and I was filled with positive expectations.
I had this wishful thinking of mild hay notes, with a bit of grass, tobacco leaves
(also a kind of hay, right?) and leather for the ruggedness, otherwise just straw-green expanses.
Misled.....
Paname starts off aquatic-hay-like. Distinct background aromas of something burnt.
Pointed vetiver comes into play after the top notes, again mixed with smoke.
Like when I was a child, and the meadows were burned as a substitute for fertilizer. This mixture of life and death - of grass, hay, and charred remains.
The aquatic aspect is immensely disturbing. In my opinion, it doesn’t belong in this scent landscape at all - like a chlorinated swimming pool in a nature reserve.

After about 2 hours, a very pleasant base remains, still too much vetiver and "aqua" for me - one has to sniff away from it - but the leather and hay base becomes stronger, the smoke dissipates, leaving a very faint hint of smoked bacon. Where does this slight citric acid suddenly come from? With a touch of sulfur - someone has struck a match to burn even more meadow.

Paname is not an explicit leather scent, not a striking hay scent - not an aquate. A strange mix of everything that initially repulses me, but nonetheless keeps luring me back to sniff my wrist.

More for men, I think - I would probably find the scent attractive on the right guy.
