And he's right again!
"It doesn't suit you at all! Reminds me of a men's fragrance that some show-off types put on after sports and then want to score points in the office with their fragrant sportiness." Such were my hubby's disparaging words about Kurkdjian's Aqua Universalis last night. I've been lurking around this delicate, cologne-like scent for a while now, so I quickly packed the sample when we left for vacation. The first skin tests were ok, but the spark then just not quite over. Well, and then sprays him yesterday my husband on paper and slams me above sentence to the head.
This morning I came back from running and smelled a delightful floral scent in our bathroom. Aaah, the little card from last night, it came back to me and I pressed my nose to it. Pah, I thought to myself. I'll show you! It's really pretty. The lily of the valley had really developed nicely now and I also sniffed a subtle hint of musk, although not listed among the fragrance notes. But we know that the noses do not always want to tell us everything, what they brew so in their chambers together
So druff with the citrus water for everyone. After I wear it in the meantime for a few hours, the great enthusiasm, however, remains out. Yes, this is quite a nice fragrance. It's delicate, we have some citrus and musk and the lily of the valley peeks out too. Gandix's description of freshly laundered sheets comes to mind. But the really big "wow" doesn't want to happen with this scent. Because underneath all the bloom and fluff, there's a note that makes me think of laundry that's been in the closet a little too long. You know what I mean? A subtle hint of dustiness. Certainly not bad, but nope, my nose doesn't like it much either. Could be some ambroxan causing it. I detect ambroxan in fragrance all the time, unfortunately, as I do glutamate in food, which is equally repugnant to me and causes me to associate it with a chloriney taste.
The sporty success type I do not smell, but then the fragrance does not make me so really happy. So I go in the rating of 9 down to 8. This is absolutely okay, no question. And I can understand that you love it, as well as Bastian, who is very much appreciated by me, does. But I don't need it. And yes, darling, you were right again! Even if I admits reluctantly, hehe!
