Woodruff Jelly with Vanilla Sauce
Upon the first sniff, I immediately thought of a delicious and sweet dessert from my childhood, with which you could always do such fun things while eating - woodruff jelly with lots of vanilla sauce!
As Angelliese has already mentioned, there is a brief, but only very short, alcoholic note that greets you at first. After that, the scent that reminds me so much of the pudding immediately unfolds. I can only explain it to myself by the fact that the heart note and base note connect:
The freesia brings a peppery freshness into play that tickles the nose, while the violets provide a floral sweetness that also crystallizes as mildly mossy. I also perceive something woody - and I have read that the flower of violets contains this floral-woody aspect, in contrast to the leaves, which tend to bring the other components.
In the top and base notes, the thick warm vanilla sauce envelops the entire scent and makes it beautifully sweet. The fragrance doesn’t really develop much further; it just becomes more subtle, and the sillage pulls back a little. The longevity could be a bit better - but at this price (from 20 euros/100ml), I find it absolutely sufficient.
If you like sweet vanilla and woodruff, you are exactly right here!! :D
