Oriental Rose
In this beautiful fragrance, rose stands in for jasmine and fruit for vanilla to create an oriental rose accord. The top note is fresh, almost airy. The woody/musky base gives perfect support for the rose heart made intense by perlargonium, often used with expensive rose oil such as this seems to contain. The pepper doesn't overpower and violet adds a note of garden freshness. This is certainly one of the lovelier roses to come out of my rose sniff fest. Without jasmine it's not a sultry oriental, but then it's so wearable it doesn't need to be. Rose Intense is a distinctive scent that doesn't shout. Longevity and projection are very reasonable.
