Another floral aldehyde
Marions Nous has an explosive opening that immediately sets the vintage tone. Heaps of powder, spice and musk. This is followed by a less exciting floral-aldehyde phase with a civet purr.

Test number four of the Oriza L.Legrand lineup and I start to get the concept now. Classical configurations with reasonable quality. It also gets kind of old kind of fast. With two more tests to go, I'm really hoping for a change of pace.

Flowers upon Flowers, Flowers upon Flowers...and a Little Bit of Cat
This is how I imagine a wedding, a truly romantic wedding: a sea of fragrant flowers, roses upon roses. That's how the scent starts. Floral, feminine. Jasmine quickly joins in, probably swaying along from the very beginning, slowly fighting its way up through the flood of roses. This harmonious floral bouquet is soon disrupted. After just a few minutes, a note becomes louder, and I don't know how to assess it. On one hand, it's good because the new dissonance makes the previously overwhelming harmony bearable. On the other hand, it smells somewhat unpleasant. I suspect: Angelliese's kitty is a fully grown tomcat. He hasn't lost a drop, but rather marks his territory. If I were a woman, would I want to wear this? Yes, probably, for very specific occasions. The one lost drop is the edge against which one can rub, and where the pleasantness ends. That's good. That's important. Because the scent becomes increasingly soapy as it develops. Learned something new: this must be the civet cat, or rather its synthetic counterpart. The "animalic character" remains perceptible to my nose for a long time. After two or three hours, a fine layer of sandalwood joins in.
The description "floral-animalic" fits well. Just as well: animalic chypre.
Marions nous is not for young girls who want to bathe in delicate floral scents, oh no. The scent needs a mature character as a counterbalance. Fragrance does not form character. This scent reveals it.
But what does all this have to do with the name of the perfume? Marions nous, let’s get married? It’s about the answer. And the answer for this scent is clearly: "Yes, but..." A little romance and a little playfulness is fine, but because one chooses it. The wearer, however, keeps her clear path through life in sight. The wedding is being organized. The idea of the event may already be exhausted in the organization. The reality then becomes a great add-on.
Not a scent for every day or for every occasion. Perhaps for an intimate dinner for two? And then... The wearer will know exactly when the scent comes into play. And please: dab, don’t spray.
By the way, I am also surprised that this is a perfume from recent years. At first glance, I would have estimated it to be several decades older.
I would like to thank Irini, to whom I owe some wonderful women's fragrances, including this one.

Beautiful soapy, slightly animalic floral perfume.
Opening is all over the place, but as it settles down it all comes together very nicely!

Soap-dense moist fog. Old dust and new earth. A floral orgy full of wonders. Cat-wild balance in the first ray of sunshine. Spring.

Impressive scent experience: Hyacinth (always a bit metallic in my nose) has a very classic feel, with a lovely-noble floral bouquet°°°

“Let’s get married!” he whispers
dazed from the act of love
a bouquet of flowers on the nightstand
her scent in the sheets
her smile, like a wildcat

White floral aldehyde orgy that escalates so strongly that all flowers explode in a fertility ritual: elegant and traditional!

Soapy, dense vintage floral cream like JOY (Patou). Fluctuating between delicate & naughty. Becomes a bit woodier & slightly animalic-civet.
