Ronda Parfum Prissana 2024

It's curious how sometimes me and my friend Val pick up completely different notes from perfumes! This one, for me, it's a green Eden. The angelica goes strong, the fig is not completely ripe and juicy but a quite acerbic version of it - that, in perfumery, works wonderfully. In real life if I do encounter a still green fig it's a loss. I do get carnations, but they're in the background so I'm okay. I do agree that feels a bit vintage, but that's not a complain. On my skin, angelica and aniseed, along with flowers, are the one that stand out the most. It's like a little green heaven in a jar (one of those compositions made with moss and dry flowers!)

Oftentimes when I test one of Prin's perfumes, I need to think about it for while. Ronda is one of such cases. It took me a while to pinpoint that, at the heart, it is a tropical floral scent. It's just so much spicier and darker than I'm used to. This jasmine is green and bitter, and I struggle to recall if I have ever smelled a jasmine like this. The spices are strong (clove and cumin stand out), and so are the woods. It almost has a subtle vintage flair to it, could be the carnations. No indoles surface anywhere on my skin throughout the wear. It's quite beautiful and complex, even if a little chaotic.
