Gisele Bündchen breastfeeding photos
Fluffy, ricey, wispy powder. Sweet, waxy rose which feels unique. Makeupy but approaching food. Kinda reminds me of edible cosmetics from the early 2000s and also babies so it’s very MILF to me. Sexy, but carrying a diaper bag. I love this, I feel like I get to mommy cosplay even though I am distinctly against ever becoming a mother myself.

Subtle and delicate powder
Top notes: coconut, tiare, vanilla pod, middle: rose, base: sandalwood, rise powder, tonka, cedarwood, iris, tolu...

Somewhere it says toffee, maple sap, somewhere orris...

There's no doubt about it, if you love powdery fragrances, this one is a must try. Wonderfully balanced, not cloying, not "babywipes" type...

Simple but elegant, skillfully composed to keep a tad of victorian vibe but enough fresh not to be boring and heavy "talc accident in the bathroom" kind of perfume.

Really lovely and comforting. Well done!

The Other Powder Scent
Poudre de Riz is powder of the elegant kind. It starts off a bit soapy, soft, and reminds one of a clean scent.

Only a short time later, soft floral notes unfold with a hint of coconut.
Although it has slight tropical undertones, I wouldn't categorize it that way. For me, it is a noble scent of the classic school, without harsh tones.

The powder note is slightly dry, sometimes a bit muted, but overall lovely and cool.
However, it is also not a pure powder scent and certainly does not smell like baby, but rather very adult. The floral notes balance with the soft notes of sandalwood, tolu balsam, and vanilla, always underpinned by the fine powder.

As it develops, the beautiful milky rice note comes through more, and the powder becomes stronger. Now you can also detect a bright wood note. When the scent also acquires a fine nutty note, I am completely taken with it.
Although it is a delicate skin scent, it comes across quite strongly, with a fine sillage.
This one could make it onto the wish list.

The Powder Box
The Metro spat me out at Porte de Versailles and I followed the crowds to the flea market at Pont de Vanves. Life surged around me. I felt part of it all and yet pleasantly alone.

I stopped in front of one of the tables. Everything for the lady!, the seller advertised his wares and urged me to come closer and take a look. So I casually examined silver Art Nouveau hairbrushes, blind little mirrors, adventurous crystal flacons - both empty and full, small cosmetic pompadours, and so many powder boxes. I picked one up. Cool and silvery, it filled my hand. Belle Époque, Mademoiselle, a special price for her, only 40 euros! Oh no, 30, in cash and it’s yours!

I carefully twisted off the lid. Fine powder dust on the puff. Marzipan faded away. Vanilla? Tropical splendor before my eyes. Seas of blossoms to the horizon. Powdery, sweet, gentle.
Comforting dry whisper. Sweat beads on my forehead and a soft puff that makes everything undone, from its fluffy threads cascades purity, like little snippets of blank pages. The scent as timelessly beautiful as silk stockings on soft skin.

I didn’t negotiate, I bought the box, which also bears my initials. And I always thought I would one day find a perfume that smells like this powder box.

With Poudre de Riz, someone has fulfilled my quiet hope.

It Could Have Been Rice, Baby
Well ... "could have" is the key word here. Alright, while rice powder is promised, what you perceive at first clearly leans towards powder and not rice. To be more precise, it's a noble powder with a hefty lipstick undertone amidst a dollop of compote-like indeterminate fruit sweetness - even if some automatically think of rice pudding. No - it’s not!!!

A more impressive presence is given by the exotic Monoï, which exudes a floral creamy, slightly coconut-like aura. Just balanced enough to be pleasantly noticeable. And yes - vanilla or vanilla pod is also present, but it comes across more as a sensual effect rather than a gourmand note.

It remains so linear, with hardly noticeable deviations, even for nearly 7-8 hours, which is not too surprising given the listed ingredients.

Even though one might think my overall impression is negatively shaped, I found Poudre de Riz to be pleasantly warm, somewhat mysterious, and relatively cohesive. According to classification, many perfume enthusiasts rate it as feminine, but I believe it can just as easily be handled as unisex, like Gaultier2, with which it shares a kind of kinship. In any case, I didn’t feel uncomfortable wearing it and would have welcomed it if it had just a tad more radiance. Definitely a suitable candidate for cozy winter evenings.

Musky rose and a tinge of tropical flowers, all in a bed of powder. Really nice, suitable for everyday wear

How to create a powdery scent well is shown by Parfum d'Empire Le Cri: too much sweetness here, not enough consistency, no radiance.

Finally, a powdery scent that I like. Finely powdery-floral, softly sweet and light, not dusty. Monoi and vanilla are clearly noticeable. A dream!

Terribly soapy-musty opening.
Then the poor Monoï gets smothered in rice powder!

Wow! What a fragrance! There’s so much to offer here, from sweet to slightly floral, and a bit woody at the end - it all blends beautifully. Absolutely wonderful!

Soul-soothing powder scent of sweet flowers and vanilla. Luckily very light and airy, otherwise it could be too sweet.

A voyeur, a loving couple, frantic makeup, traces are concealed. Monoï seems innocent. Vanilla too. On the surface.
