The best "your skin but better" on the marché (and the only 10/10 note I ever gave)
Okay, well, I've been copying all my fragrantica reviews for the last few hours to leave their site because it's run by pro-Trump people who disgust me and I don't want to put up with them, but for this perfume I'm going to TAKE MY TIIIIMMEEEEE rewriting a new review because it's really worth it.
I discovered it a few months after getting interested in perfumery again, after a break of some years. I was testing Pierre Guillaume's fragrances in a boutique, and had a list of some I wanted to try. This perfume was at the bottom of the list because I didn't really understand the concept and didn't think it was woaw when I read the notes. Oh my poor naive former self, you were so wrong...
After testing about fifteen perfumes, I smell it, and it was the biggest olfactory SLAP I've ever had. I can barely put into words what I felt.
In itself, the concept is simple, it's the smell of skin, clean, better, blah blah blah, we all know the deal.
This perfume completely MASTERIZES the concept, because since last year, I've smelled dozens of "skin perfumes, but better", and none of them comes close.
According to Pierre Guillaume's website, it contains a blend of 13 different musks, making it the closest musk blend to clean skin I've found on the market.
On top of that, it has a light scent of rosemary MILK (not harsh rosemary), ylang ylang, and wood, but nothing that takes up much space next to the musky blend.
En bref, it sounds like you showered and washed yourself from top to bottom a few hours ago with a dark rosemary and ylang ylang exfoliant, and you're still just as clean hours later, but it's the smell of your skin that has long since taken its place.
It's hard to write how it smells, just go smell it, order a sample, it's clearly worth it. It's been my signature scent for a year now and that's not changing anytime soon.
