The best "your skin but better" on the marché
Okay, well, I've been copying all my fragrantica reviews for the last few hours to leave their site because it's run by pro-Trump people who disgust me and I don't want to put up with them, but for this perfume I'm going to TAKE MY TIIIIMMEEEEE rewriting a new review because it's really worth it.

I discovered it a few months after getting interested in perfumery again, after a break of some years. I was testing Pierre Guillaume's fragrances in a boutique, and had a list of some I wanted to try. This perfume was at the bottom of the list because I didn't really understand the concept and didn't think it was woaw when I read the notes. Oh my poor naive former self, you were so wrong...

After testing about fifteen perfumes, I smell it, and it was the biggest olfactory SLAP I've ever had. I can barely put into words what I felt.

In itself, the concept is simple, it's the smell of skin, clean, better, blah blah blah, we all know the deal.

This perfume completely MASTERIZES the concept, because since last year, I've smelled dozens of "skin perfumes, but better", and none of them comes close.

According to Pierre Guillaume's website, it contains a blend of 13 different musks, making it the closest musk blend to clean skin I've found on the market.

On top of that, it has a light scent of rosemary MILK (not harsh rosemary), ylang ylang, and wood, but nothing that takes up much space next to the musky blend.

En bref, it sounds like you showered and washed yourself from top to bottom a few hours ago with a dark rosemary and ylang ylang exfoliant, and you're still just as clean hours later, but it's the smell of your skin that has long since taken its place.

It's hard to write how it smells, just go smell it, order a sample, it's clearly worth it. It's been my signature scent for a year now and that's not changing anytime soon.

Seabreeze on skin
I'm not able to classify or to rate this scent. Only to describe how it behaves on my skin.
I wouldn't call this a 'skin scent' I don't get that warmth that often comes with skin scents, maybe the amber refuses to perform on my skin?
It is very nice and I absolutely understand the high ratings. But I think this will differ with skin chemistry so many will perceive this differently. Surely a 'sample first' kind of scent (which is always wise ofcourse :-)).
On my skin the rosemary is prominent and acts more like a herbal kind of seabreeze, caressing my skin in a rather abstract way. This seabreeze is nice, but when sniffing my skin directly, I find it a bit too 'showergel-fresh/aquatic' which was not wat I was looking for, maybe a little masculine even.
I get nothing lactonic or milky or sweet...

I never smelled the original version so can't compare it to that.

I get why people find the longevity low, but I think this may be due to the soft drydown in contrast to the strong, zesty opening.
Sillage seems weak in my case, though I've read many people consider it that way, but feeling surprised when receiving many compliments on it, so this could be about olfactory fatique of the wearer.

Maybe I will perceive this perfume differently in summer, I will surely keep my sample and try it again then, but for now I'm not considering buying a full bottle.

You Are So Beautiful
This fragrance is simply pure perfection️️️
I already have the EDP and now I had to get the Extrait, even though many said it doesn't last as long. But I can't confirm that; it lasts significantly longer and has a better sillage than the EDP. Still far from being a beast️ As for the scent itself: I love this fragrance so so so much. This combination of milk and rosemary, along with this pure musk. I've never encountered a fragrance that smells even remotely as perfect - so well-groomed, pure, and yet not monotonous. Creamy, slightly woody, and gently spicy from the rosemary. If you're looking for a clean scent but want to avoid anything that smells like laundry detergent or fabric softener, I can wholeheartedly recommend this fragrance. It makes me addicted; I spray it on before going to bed and feel like I'm in the most beautiful spa hotel in the world. The scent is absolutely unisex, suitable for any season and any occasion. Perfection in a bottle, an absolute feel-good fragrance!

Like its almost identical predecessor: Simply unbelievably beautiful!
I have already described the classic Le Musc & La Peau and clearly expressed how much I love this fragrance.
Admittedly, I can hardly perceive any difference with the new variant as an Extrait. Therefore, I will take my description from the classic, as I believe the scent impression is almost identical.

For the description:
Le Musc & La Peau is, for me, a wonderful feel-good fragrance.
In my opinion, you simply cannot speak badly of this scent and cannot not like it. It settles so wonderfully on the skin, is a gentle companion, smooth, pleasant, and simply super beautiful.

This fragrance gives you the feeling of being freshly showered without actually having a true shower gel DNA. It generally feels very clean, refined, and elegant.
Admittedly, this fragrance does not project very much, but I do not find it too weak either.

Especially at the beginning, it has a slightly cooling effect, with a very smooth rosemary note coming through. It also appears quite subtly floral and gradually gains more creamy-powdery impressions over time.
This fragrance also has a fresh laundry vibe. A totally elegant clean guy, that’s Le Musc & La Peau.
The scent does come across as somewhat synthetic, but I think it is very well executed, and the fragrance is truly designed to be very soft. All the notes seem to blend together and create a beautiful overall picture.

All in all, a fragrance that has completely captivated me.
This scent is also super unisex. Both men and women can wear Le Musc & La Peau wonderfully.

To conclude, here’s the minimal difference:
The Extrait feels a tiny bit stronger to me. Especially in the initial phase of the fragrance, it seems that way. Nevertheless, the difference is not much, and even the longevity and sillage feel almost the same to me.
I would give the Extrait one point more regarding performance.

Skin Cream in Awesome (Extrait vs. OG)
I find the idea of perfumes that smell like "clean" skin great, even as a man. Unobtrusive, sensual, suitable for everyday use, minimalist. All of this is what I associate with this idea. That's why I bought a sample to see if this perfume can live up to that expectation.

Honestly, I can't really say exactly what it smells like, but I'll try to describe it. Imagine the creamy scent of a Penaten or Nivea skin cream as a base. Or perhaps the best sensitive deodorant from a drugstore chain ever. However, it's not heavily perfumed. Just the typical creamy, milky scent. Only a bit powdery. On top of that, there's a slightly sweet floral scent that also has a hint of fruitiness. As unclear as my description is, so unclear and diffuse is this scent for me. It is neither intense nor subtle. It feels just perfectly dosed. I really can't describe it any other way than fresh-washed skin that has just been moisturized with body lotion and lightly powdered. Smooth, gentle, creamy, enchanting, and sensual. As if my better half were to lay down next to me in bed, and I try to capture the body scent of freshly washed skin. Familiar, yet new. Clean, but with a hint of saltiness (sweaty). Creamy, yet powdery.

Is the perfume unisex? Yes, in a way. Men can certainly wear it, but I must say it leans more feminine. I think most men will like it very much, but would prefer it on their girlfriend's skin rather than their own.

Is it a blind buy? In my opinion, yes. I wouldn't find it inappropriate on any woman. And even on a man, I would perceive it as very pleasant and not too feminine when applied discreetly. He would just smell freshly moisturized.

The price is quite steep for a perfume that is rather subtle and not particularly intense. The sillage is not the best. But I think anything else wouldn't suit such a scent. You can still perceive it after a longer time when you're close to the person. This is certainly disappointing given the price, but it just fits the type of scent. It's for people who don't want to overwhelm everyone around them but want a captivating scent for more intimate moments.

Comparison with the Extrait:
The two scents are quite similar as expected. The H/S is actually a bit better in the Extrait. However, the scent is also slightly different to my nose and leans a bit more towards skin cream. The Extrait feels warmer and woodier to me. Somehow also slightly salty, which I don't perceive in the OG. It has a hint of slight sweat, but in a good way. The OG feels a bit more balanced to me. The touch of vanilla in the base and the bergamot in the top note make it a bit sweeter and a bit fresher. Even though you can't really distinctly identify either. Both are great in any case, with the differences only noticeable in nuances and in direct comparison. The OG is the more elegant and sensual of the two. For that, the Extrait is closer to the often desired "skin scent." Depending on which one you can get for a better deal, you should buy it ;)

Smells exactly like the EdP to me. I'm confused. It doesn't project stronger and doesn't last longer.
If you have the EdP, you don't need this!
