The Fur-La fourrure
It is extremely difficult to find the right iris scent, there are just so many.
It is at least as complicated as finding the right oud scent or any other
type of fragrance that one prefers. Unfortunately! The selection is simply too vast for that.
Iris is used in many perfumes as a supporting note or as the main player, as in this case
by Shermine.
Personally, I love iris when it is well done. It is like a mist that you drag behind you and that constantly plays around you. Subtle, diffuse, transparent like a phantom. Hard to grasp and catch. For many women, it is a blessing; for many men, a horror, or vice versa.
After a long search, I have found my personal iris scent.
Shermine by Pierre Guillaume.
Shermine starts citrusy, but that fades relatively quickly and is not worth mentioning.
Very quickly, the main actress appears: iris in unfiltered greatness and presence.
This phase is already very special, but it also changes relatively quickly. It becomes woodier and spicier around you. Bitter-green cardamom and creamy guaiac sneak in and
add some spice. Fine lavender fibers and coarse pepper suggest a certain sharpness.
Dry and dusty vanilla and fine smoky vetiver envelop the scent. A creamy-soft musk and a very relaxed patchouli give Shermine the final touch.
Shermine smells like a powdery and dusty animal fur, by no means animalistic, just to be clear. It smells like a clean and well-groomed fur. Dusty, powdery-spicy, and warm. Shermine envelops the skin with a soft, cuddly, and warm-spicy fur scent.
For me, it is always a fluffy-cuddly experience. Shermine gives me a pleasant kind of enveloping harmony and cuddly protection. For me, it is a furry dream.
Conclusion
A very, very beautiful, yet largely unknown scent by Pierre Guillaume.
Full of spicy warmth and soft-furry security. A scent for personal moments when your own fur is not so thick.
Longevity: Several days in the hair and on clothing. On the skin, 12 to 15 hours.
Sillage: One should not be deceived; it has strength and is perceivable at arm's length.
In rooms, there is always a scent aura left behind when leaving, which remains
detectable for others.
Gender: Unisex. Everyone has a thin fur at some point. On male skin, it is even spicier.
I can recommend Shermine to anyone looking for an unusual iris scent that is
very special in its own way. For me, Shermine is my very personal
feel-good fur. And no animal had to die for it....
