Water/Wood/WHY?!?...
Water/Wood opens with a piercing aqueous white lotus and sharp cedar duo before transitioning to its heart. As the composition enters its early heart the cedar settles down into a more supporting role as relatively soft iris supplants it to join the white lotus as star with hints of rosewood and pine adding additional support. During the late dry-down the aqueous floral aspects finally recede to allow the sharp cedar to reassert itself through the finish. Projection is below average with the composition just a little more than a skin scent and longevity relatively poor at 3-4 hours on skin.

There really is no getting around the early impression this composition appears to have been created with little effort. The combination of the selected sharp woods and the overpowering aqueous white lotus is just horrific smelling and one wonders what the perfumers were thinking. The whole thing from top-to-bottom comes off as very weird and unwearable, entering scrubber territory in near-record time. While inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, the bottle housing the juice looks just about as unimpressive as the composition inside it. The bottom line is the $155 per 30ml Water/Wood is a failure on all levels; from its ugly bottle to the poorly composed juice inside to its insanely high price-point. Price aside, this 1.5 star out of 5 rated dud should be avoided at all cost.
