Have you ever counted Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si backwards?
Here comes a fragrance named after one of the many scales and carries one of the chords in its name, in this case Si-Do, and no, I don't mean the German rapper Sido :D
Réminiscence wanted to show that musical terms have a lot in common with fragrance names, as is also written below in Parfumo. Because with fragrances, terms like chord or composition are often used. I find this concept interesting, but whether the fragrance is successful is another question.
Interestingly, most people can easily say the entire scale, that is, Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do, but try saying it in descending order, that is, backwards :D
Well, it's not that easy, is it? It's probably just as difficult as reciting the alphabet backwards. While numbers pose no problem, it seems that with the alphabet, one struggles to continue fluently after Y or X :D
The powdery aspect of the iris still comes through, even though the fragrance, due to the sultry scent and a cardamom-like, not very pleasant note, does not seem very soft and beautiful.
You have to endure this for a few minutes before this olfactory impression fades a bit. Although the fragrance remains heavy and sultry, ylang-ylang smells nowhere near as bad as this described cardamom-like note, and besides, it seems that most ladies here are not really bothered by ylang-ylang, so you might enjoy the fragrance even more than I do.
In any case, the fragrance becomes significantly more powdery in the base, the carrot is only faintly detectable, but it soon fades as well. The fruity notes listed in the base are hardly noticeable, while amber slowly reveals itself and radiates its sweet scent, although the fragrance does not become truly sweet.
The longevity is quite okay, lasting around six to eight hours.
Um… are you still reading my comment here or are you still trying to say Do Si La Sol Fa Mi Re Do, that is, the DoReMi backwards? :D
He he, as I said, it’s not that easy, is it? Even when you should read it, you sometimes stumble because it’s just unfamiliar. But it’s surely a great brain-training opportunity or something… I think…!
In any case, the fragrance, despite its beautiful bottle, has not become a standout and is simply a standard, powdery iris scent with somewhat heavy floral notes like ylang-ylang and occasionally bothersome, heavy elements like cardamom, which fortunately only lasts a short time.
Fragrance-wise, it’s a scent for autumn and winter, but perhaps still usable in spring. It could be worn well during the day, but there are nicer fragrances for the evening. You can test it, but in my opinion, it’s not a must.
And here’s a little help for saying it backwards:
Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do ->
-> Do Si La Sol Fa Mi Re Do … :DD
… hm… now I could start humming… sol sol sol re# la# sol re# la# sol…. I’m a nerd, I know… :D

The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts with iris and is quite floral. The floral aspect is heavy and sultry, as it contains ylang-ylang, which always strikes me as described. Carrots, well, there is a little carrot in there, but it's rather minimal, as the distinctive scent of a carrot is usually quite recognizable and would pair well with iris (after all, an iris root does remind one a bit of grated carrots), but it is overshadowed by the more floral scents. The powdery aspect of the iris still comes through, even though the fragrance, due to the sultry scent and a cardamom-like, not very pleasant note, does not seem very soft and beautiful.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is rather normal, except for the heart note, and can be detected at short to medium distances, although it fades quickly. The longevity is quite okay, lasting around six to eight hours.
The Bottle:
The bottle has a cylindrical-bell shape, is pink and opaque. On the front, you can see the logo and the name of the fragrance in golden letters. A golden band runs around the bottom of the bottle, displaying the brand name. A long, silky ribbon has been attached to the gilded neck, with the ribbons reaching down to the bottom. The cap is transparent and faceted, but appears slightly old-fashioned. All in all, a successful, very beautiful bottle.Um… are you still reading my comment here or are you still trying to say Do Si La Sol Fa Mi Re Do, that is, the DoReMi backwards? :D
