South Sea in Wearable Form
This fragrance has just the right temperament: not too loud, not too quiet; almost unsweet, but feminine, with a South Sea feeling, yet suitable for everyday wear, long-lasting, not overwhelming, but rather subtle in the sillage.

White Tuberose is not a fleshy, animalistic, unruly, or even penetrating tuberose, but a noble one. It is a well-tempered white flower: greenish and unsweet, somewhat creamy, but not indolic. It becomes a bit sweeter in the base, but retains its initial character.

White Tuberose also does not seek originality. No. I know several fragrances that it resembles more or less: e.g. Songe/Annick Goutal or Fleurdenya/Francesca dell Oro or Honour Woman/Amouage. The fragrances that I love, own, or would like to have, except for Songe by Goutal.

In contrast to all the mentioned fragrances, it is more wearable because it is muted, calmer, and more environment-friendly.

In a word: I really like it.

Spices Burst Vacation Dream / Looking for Fenjal Fragrance...
Hm how should I start... So, I was on vacation in Mallorca with my best friend in May of this year. To save weight on our luggage (because girls always carry so much with them^^), she suggested that we share cosmetics and so on. So we made a plan about who would bring what. I took the hairdryer, hair care products, sunscreen, cream... She took shower gel, makeup remover, dental care products, disposable razors xD ... Well...

Anyway, she bought us a shower gel from Fenjal with a sensual tuberose scent (that's what it says on the bottle). This wonderful shower gel with the beautiful tuberose scent accompanied us both daily while showering. Neither of us knew how tuberose actually smells beforehand. But we knew that we urgently needed a perfume with exactly this sensual scent!!! Now, of course, I strongly associate this shower gel with the Mallorca vacation, the great hotel, the beautiful beach, just the amazing crazy time there... To capture this, a perfume with exactly such a scent would be perfect.

And as luck would have it, I found one. Day trip by bus to Palma for shopping. Discovered a perfume shop that had plenty of niche fragrances!! Total madness!!! Finally able to test Montale, Mancera, Annick Goutal, and fragrances starting at 200€ without having to order silly decants...
And what did my starry-eyed gaze spot? Right at the top of the shelf... ?
Exactly!! White tubereuse!!!! "Hey look, this perfume is called Tuberose!!!" Madness!!!
And the scent! Madness! It smelled just like that wonderful shower gel! (sounds a bit strange but whatever) Sensual, elegant, seductive. A dream! A must-have immediately!! Then I looked at the price... :,(
It was over 100 euros... I was already broke, shopped too much and so :(
However, I must emphasize that we only smelled the EAU DE TOILETTE.

So, back in Germany, I searched the internet for this perfume. It was difficult but I eventually found it and ordered it. The price was also very good. And since that's just how I am, of course, I immediately ordered the Eau de parfum, if already...
I was so excited when the package arrived. Beautiful packaging, beautiful bottle (see my photo). And then the shock during the first test. *cry* *cry* What was that?? It smells completely different!! Way too spicy, way too intensely floral, which somehow always reminds me of grandma :/ Not at all as sensual, seductive, creamy, and delicate as I remembered!!
Could it be because it's the Eau de parfum and not the Eau de toilette (even though the same ingredients) or did I still have some residual alcohol in there...? I don't know.

It starts slightly lemony and then the strong tuberose immediately overwhelms you, not delicate and sensual, but very floral (I find it grandma-like) and what bothers me the most are the spices!!! Immediately a scent of black pepper, allspice! But I wanted something delicately sensual!
Okay, after a while, the spicy notes fade away and the floral tuberose remains. Probably enhanced by ylang-ylang, which intensifies the floral aspect. And yes, the spices and cinnamon actually suit the tuberose quite well and intensify it. But I believe it doesn't suit me, it doesn't fit me... After about an hour, it becomes softer and more embracing. But I just don't know.... Maybe I'll try it again in autumn/winter... Because the scent is too intense for me, too present floral, somehow old-fashioned, more for older ladies or maybe in winter hmm... It is also very long-lasting and I believe it has a high sillage as well. I kept the little fragrance anyway ;)

Warm and spicy tuberose, extremely feminine and with a good sillage. I love it. Very elegant the bottle. High price, but very good quality

A green tuberose with a lot of spices. The aura is cinnamon-heavy and reminds me of Big Red gum. In warm temperatures, it*

The spices, especially cinnamon, complement the tuberose beautifully! They make it appear more elegant, subtle, and deeper. Perfect for cool autumn days!

First a lovely tuberose scent, then developing into a bitter-green-herbaceous-spicy sharpness. Finally, it fades out softly and boringly for a long time.
