Ambrosia - Jelly Syrup
Tonka was a real surprise for me.
With a name like "Tonka" I expect actually Tonka full... is here but definitely not so. One smells the tonka bean already, but for the naming that is not enough, in my opinion.
Yes how does the fragrance smell the then?
That's actually quite easy.
Honey....Ambrosia -Gods Syrup!
More specifically, it smells like aniseed honey. I love anise, I love to eat it and I love to smell it incredibly. Anise is really special.
The honey is quite thick, viscous but not oversweet, but full-bodied, great tasting, slightly smoky, strongly spicy, warm and creamy.
Tonka smells like a Christmas spice pudding with tonka vanilla sauce, drizzled with aniseed honey. DELICIOUS.
It starts off really lightly fresh though, bergamot is only very briefly smelled.
Very slight sprinkles of jasmine I also detect, but not present. Clove shimmers through every now and then, but not obtrusive.
The fragrance has a great progression and turns into a slightly smoky scent after hours.
Who loves Gourmands, drives with Tonka 100% well.
The bottle is very pretty, in the latest edition without stars, clean lines, slightly curved bottle.
The price is hot and the durability is bomb, silage is in the upper third for me.
This warm gourmand has done it to me and will certainly accompany me often in autumn / winter.
