If vampires & goths smell like this, they can bite me!
The low price and the high rating here on Parfumo made me buy this wintry patchouli sensation (here in the forum) just before the start of summer... and it was the right decision to let these remaining 30 ml come to me. Even though I can't wear it in the heat (not even in the evenings) and I don't find bottles that are only 1/3 full visually appealing.

For me, L'Incroyable Patchouli completes my personal patchouli circle, which began with the 2 L'Instants from Guerlain, went through a deep plunge with Giorgio for Men, and now approaches a delightful finale, showing me almost all facets of patchouli.

L'IP is all about patchouli from start to finish, almost reminiscent of patchouli oil at times. Only the tonka bean and vanilla make this delicious scent even more gourmand and rounded. It is definitely dark, but so delightful, and if I didn't keep hearing it, I would never associate such a scent with goths or muffs. Okay, in Giorgio the patchouli was piercing and disgusting, but already in the 2 great Guerlains it was a pleasure. Here, it goes a step further than in LIDGE, making it thicker, stronger, and even more wintry. But it is also less versatile.

Besides chocolate and calories, patchouli also reminds me of warmth, winter, cuddling, festivities, Christmas, cookies... it not only sounds good, it is! I don't know the other patchouli scents from the brand yet, but they will hardly top this one, because when it comes to pure patchouli, there's hardly anything that can be improved or made even more delicious!

The sillage is intense and thick. The longevity leaves you blissfully happy with 12 hours+, and the bottle is chic and looks like it has sprung from a nativity play.

Reminiscence is said to have some other top perfumes in the pipeline - this is more than a successful start and a welcome guest in winter!

Patchouli Explosion
If I could create a pure patchouli scent, it would turn out exactly like this. Everything is perfect for my taste.

Despite the different components, patchouli plays the main role, while all other notes serve only to support it.

This patchouli has no scent progression, except for a minimal loss of intensity. However, it has the characteristics of a good wine, as the fragrance reveals different facets depending on the distance from the skin, ranging from bitter chocolate to balsamic-sweet patchouli.

The sillage is perfect, and I can say the same about the longevity.

Even though I applied only a small amount on the back of my hand, I was complimented on my wonderful scent three times while shopping today. Just imagine how this fragrance must perform when properly sprayed! Probably like a scent explosion, considering that just a few drops have such an impact on the environment.

Those who do not like patchouli should better stay away from this one.

Dear OnlineHexe, thank you very much for this patch.

An Incredible Revival
I owe a wonderful fragrance experience to the little witch and my bank account yet again a (though bearable) hit ;-)

In 1970, when this fragrance (or rather its prototype) was launched, I wasn't even in the planning stage - my mom was still a wild teenager, and when I recall the few photos of her from that time, she could have loved it, the patchouli that was the inspiration for this scent.

L'Incroyable Patchouli, the incredible patchouli, truly lives up to its name! It is an incredibly deep, warm, multi-layered fragrance, with a subtle, dry sweetness and an earthy-dark cocoa note. The rather dry, dark tones are balanced by a non-sweet but creamy vanilla in the base. It is a skin-close, flattering scent - its "lack" of sillage is compensated by its great longevity.

I sense a certain kinship to the Patchouli Intense by Molinard - however, L'Incroyable is a significantly more complex fragrance, less sweet and a whole lot more enduring.

for apocalypse romantics
1995 Père Lachaise Paris......me-bald head, nose chain, dressed in black and always on the lookout for just such a scent. Since this fragrance didn't exist back then, I had to rely on pure patchouli oil, and it smells exactly - like that!
Now, a few years later, I prefer something sweeter and don’t want my fragrance to evoke associations with damp earth, mustiness, and attics. Everything has its time...

Belgian Seafood
I must say, getting to know Reminiscence Paris has been a true enrichment for me!
I still don’t know the entire product range - I’m still working on it - but just the tip of the iceberg that I am familiar with has certainly left no wishes unfulfilled.
Anyone who chooses Reminiscence receives the highest exclusivity and the finest perfumes, and at almost pleasantly affordable prices: on average, you’re looking at around €60-70, while for a (often even inferior) Amouage or similar, you have to pay three times that amount without a second thought.
Alongside Noir de Reminiscence, L'incroyable Patchouli is the undisputed spearhead, quite rightly so.
Patchouli is a reissue, but without knowing the original, I assume that both variations should not be "light years" apart and only differ marginally.
The patchouli-in-pure-culture concept of the ancient 40-year-old patchouli seems to have worked out perfectly, otherwise such an elaborate anniversary edition wouldn’t have been released - and that’s exactly what you get here.
Everyone has probably smelled patchouli, in one form or another, at some point, which is likely why it enjoys great popularity and makes this scent incredibly delicious and lovable.

The first impression: it starts off strong! Immediately, a room-filling patchouli-brown fragrance cloud emanates from the beautiful gold-glitter bottle.
At first raw, rough, strongly spicy, earthy-dry, and "straw-like," it then develops and almost suddenly unfolds its deliciously sweet character, but a slight bitter nuance remains. This sweetness reminds me a bit of "Belgian Seafood," pralines that make me downright addicted. After an hour, everything becomes a bit quieter, but its character does not change. Moreover, it lingers on the skin or clothing forever, patiently holding on. Just when you think it has long faded away, a pleasant wave suddenly comes out of nowhere, and you feel reassured again.

L'incroyable Patchouli is simply a rarely beautiful scent that you certainly won’t encounter on every corner. Everything about it is incredibly good. A masterpiece.

What a dark patch fluff. Delightfully green-earthy-moist, brought to shine with warm torchlight. Brown-amber gleaming dark.

It's like a punch in the face, super dark and loud. It's definitely too much for me, but the sillage is top-notch. The whole apartment smells.

Intense love play of patchouli and tonka.
Earthy, slightly dry. Woody.
Foggy mists stretching over it all.
Powerful sillage!

Starts bitter-smoky-scratchy-sour + floral-soapy patchouli = slightly unpleasant. Sweet vanilla + labdanum balance it out.

This is more like the expected hippie patchouli. Very woody, a bit soapy. Not sweet but also not too dry.
