If vampires & goths smell like this, they can bite me!
The low price and the high rating here on Parfumo made me buy this wintry patchouli sensation (here in the forum) just before the start of summer... and it was the right decision to let these remaining 30 ml come to me. Even though I can't wear it in the heat (not even in the evenings) and I don't find bottles that are only 1/3 full visually appealing.
For me, L'Incroyable Patchouli completes my personal patchouli circle, which began with the 2 L'Instants from Guerlain, went through a deep plunge with Giorgio for Men, and now approaches a delightful finale, showing me almost all facets of patchouli.
L'IP is all about patchouli from start to finish, almost reminiscent of patchouli oil at times. Only the tonka bean and vanilla make this delicious scent even more gourmand and rounded. It is definitely dark, but so delightful, and if I didn't keep hearing it, I would never associate such a scent with goths or muffs. Okay, in Giorgio the patchouli was piercing and disgusting, but already in the 2 great Guerlains it was a pleasure. Here, it goes a step further than in LIDGE, making it thicker, stronger, and even more wintry. But it is also less versatile.
Besides chocolate and calories, patchouli also reminds me of warmth, winter, cuddling, festivities, Christmas, cookies... it not only sounds good, it is! I don't know the other patchouli scents from the brand yet, but they will hardly top this one, because when it comes to pure patchouli, there's hardly anything that can be improved or made even more delicious!
The sillage is intense and thick. The longevity leaves you blissfully happy with 12 hours+, and the bottle is chic and looks like it has sprung from a nativity play.
Reminiscence is said to have some other top perfumes in the pipeline - this is more than a successful start and a welcome guest in winter!
