Like those warming Norwegian sweaters that scratch a bit!
Exactly the kind of sweaters made from coarser sheep's wool with great patterns, here in beige-warm brown. Often hand-knitted, or from the "diligent hands" of tradition-conscious "Nordlanders," who process the natural wool from sheep breeders and are available in certain boutiques or department store sections. Wonderful warm winter wear, good to wear even as a coat substitute and easy to care for. (Because they still contain natural lanolin and are therefore largely "self-cleaning." If they get a bit dirty or have a "nasty closet smell," a quick hand wash with wool care is enough!
Now, I don't want to talk any more about natural wool sweaters, but rather about a corresponding fragrance that is quite similar in some respects.
First of all, this warm-woody, slightly scratchy spiced wood note that resembles the thick yarn!
The "sandy" vanilla that enhances the attractiveness, as it forms the darker patterns. Stars, diamonds, snowflakes in natural white come from "light spices."
The interplay of these woody-balsamic notes gives a robust base tone. There isn't much filigree here; the beauty lies in the simple but very inviting craftsmanship. Perfect for outings on cold days or cozy cool evenings by the campfire or in front of a fireplace.
Finally, I can still smell a warm, rustic reddish-brown: cinnamon! The bitter, "sandy" kind..... A sheep's wool blanket over the knees... to the Norwegian scent-sweater!
