Into the smell of Grenouille's spell
Since the opening it caught my attention, it's a unique combination of amber, birch, benzoin and orange, giving a citrus-amber vibe, but not too sweet.
It reminds a little to the smell of Blue Amber, that cozy feeling of an old loft, something melancholic. Although it's not listed, it has something leathery, I suppose that's the birch-benzoin part, the effect is quite cool.

Opening sillage is around a meter and a half, good quality of ingredients.

There is a subtle mix of lavender-jasmine that adds to the old smelling effect that it smells old, giving more uniqueness to the chord.

My partner didn't like it, she said that it smelled very strong and heavy classical, such as Shalimar could be, but even heavier, however I was not harassed by the bursts from my neck, I think it lasts longer than it projects.

After three hours there are citrus, orange, the vanilla touch of benzoin (perhaps this also contributed to the old smell effect). Now that it is drying it feels even older, but I'm enjoying it anyway, I understand that this phase is difficult and it's not for everyone, it requires a certain tolerance.

It smells to another era, not the typical "it smells classic of the 70/80", it's the smell of The perfumist, of Grenouille.

Contrary to expectations......
Ambergris smells completely different than expected......and indeed by far better.....and above all more idiosyncratic.....

If one takes a look at the complete fragrance pyramid, the reason for this unexpected fragrance experience quickly becomes apparent:

Top notes: Bergamot, lemon, bitter orange, neroli

Heart Notes: Jasmine, Lavender, Rosemary

Base notes: Amber, Birch, Sandalwood, Benzoin

From the outset, birch wood takes the lead and remains the leitmotif, so to speak, throughout the fragrance.....it smells woody-smoky and slightly leathery.....

At the beginning is perceptible to my nose especially neroli and bitter orange....but not dominant, but rather as an accompanying melody of birch......for brief moments also flashes something fresh, almost eucalyptus-like out......perhaps this impression arises from the combination of the currently active fragrance notes.....

A little later, lavender and rosemary join in......the smoky-woody-leathery basic theme is now complemented by an herbaceous impression......but note: "complemented".....not "replaced".....I can perceive little to no jasmine......but perhaps it is the reason why the fragrance is now slowly becoming a little calmer and gentler.......whereby "gentle" wants to be understood extremely relatively here.......AMBRA is by no means a "gentle" fragrance.....

In this stage, the fragrance now lingers for a long time.....and just when you think that there is not much more going on, sandalwood and amber make an appearance......

The strong birch note now noticeably recedes into the background, but remains present as a basic vibration.....the fragrance becomes softer and more balsamic and ultimately fades out with a delicate amber note.....

Personally, I see ambergris more on men.....nichtdestotrotz but I would wear it myself.....not every day, but definitely every now and then.....the fragrance has something fascinating to me.......something that is difficult to put into words......

Yet another Amber...
Just when you think you have tested all sorts of amber perfumes, a small miracle like SMNA comes along.
The sweetness of amber and benzoin is held in place by a strict yet light-hearted combination of birch, bitter orange, neroli and sandalwood, supported in the background by bergamot and amalfi lemon. The lavender to me seems like a brilliant final touch.
This is a delightful amber concoction, lifting my spirits from spray one!

Downside: Longevity and sillage are rather minimal
