Smells like plastic but okay overall

It smells like a cheap perfume I have which smells artificial like burnt plastic except ‘48 is more fruity. The good thing is however is that it’s not overly artificial smelling and it smells fruity and sweet. It’s supposed to be Bikini Season but as a permanent scent. Never smelt Bikini Season before so I don’t know how accurate it is.

Overall, I would rate it a 7.5/10. It smells fruity and sweet which I like but there’s a hint of plastic in there. Or maybe that’s just me.

Fruit Bomb and Tan Lines

I see myself on vacation in the Dominican Republic. Sprayed with it in the room, I walk down the stairs to the pool area. An intense cloud follows me... a cloud of mango, guava, coconut, and floral hints. Although mango is not listed, I can perceive it. Upon arriving at the pool, I lay down on the striped towel and put on my sunglasses. Even before I can notice the first tanning results on myself, the scent has already disappeared again. A brief fruity pleasure.

I was a bit disappointed that the longevity was so low. I definitely know it differently from "Cheirosa '71 | Sol de Janeiro." Nevertheless, it is a solid summer body spray that creates a vacation feeling, and you can't complain about the price. Since it is a limited fragrance, I don't know if it will be available for regular sale.

In conclusion, one can say:
Should you give it a sniff? Yes
Do you absolutely need to have it? No

Fruity Cocktail

Since the release of the new LE, I was most looking forward to Bikini Season.
Today I received my sample and tested it right away. My first impression was: DELICIOUS. I find the scent very pleasant and can imagine wearing it on summer vacation. It smells tropical and fruity. Like a tasty fruit cocktail with coconut water. However, the longevity and sillage are very weak. You will have to weigh whether it’s worth it for you to spray often.
When I spray the fragrance, I immediately smell the guava, the coconut water, and lemon. In the drydown, I smell the orchid and a bit of vanilla.
I will buy the fragrance despite the weak longevity because it simply is a feel-good scent for me and reminds me of vacation.

Fruity Guava

I have several Sol de Janeiro body sprays and this is probably my favorite.
It smells super fruity and still sweet. I wish there was a perfume version of it… unfortunately, it’s not very strong. After 2 hours, I can only smell it faintly.
Still very very nice and great for summer, especially if you don’t like heavy scents.
I had never smelled guava before and am now on the lookout for more guava perfumes, as I love this scent so incredibly much.

Nice, but something is missing

The first test of this fragrance surprised me: I have never smelled or tasted guava, but instead I get mango here! And in combination with the coconut (which is not as intense as the guava/mango), it reminds me a lot of Silverstrand Beach by Hollister. I bought that when I was 20 on vacation, and therefore I always had immediate flashbacks to that wonderful holiday when I smelled it. Here with Cheirosas 48, it’s not a flashback, but just a faint memory, because the peach is missing.

But even without the comparison, when Cheirosa 48 stands on its own, something is still missing.
The perfume is fruity and sweet, but not too much, so it’s not a typical squeaky teen scent. A bit creamy because of the coconut and vanilla. Very nice in itself, but somehow just a bit of everything, something is missing to round out the fragrance.

The sillage and longevity are great.

A little later in the day, I just layered the Cheirosas together and tried different versions. When I layer the 62 with the 48 here, it becomes rounded and I like it very much. The nutty notes of the 62 beautifully complete the whole.
