Hey hey, welcome to a new comment from me. Today, there’s something from Tauer Perfumes again, a brand known primarily for L’Air du Désert de Marocain. Now we’re talking about a fragrance from Tauer’s ZETA line, namely “A Linden Blossom Theme,” where you can probably imagine that it has something to do with the scent of linden trees.
You know, those beautiful trees and their lovely blossoms that… wait, why are you staring at me like that? Yes, I know what linden trees are too! I may often complain about my miserable botanical knowledge, but I do know linden trees! Yes, yes, I’m not THAT bad, even if I can’t name the very first plant I should see when I leave the apartment (or look out the window)… :D
Anyway, the scent of a linden or linden blossom sounds like spring and beautiful, floral-green fragrances that I’m sure everyone of you can hardly wait for after the cold winter, right? I’m also looking forward to spring, as each month brings me a little closer to the next Christmas, but that’s another story, he he :D
So, let’s get to the fragrance!
The Fragrance:
Ah! As expected, the fragrance is floral and fresh right from the start, and I can definitely smell the linden blossom. Then I also detect the citrus notes, especially oranges or orange peels, which come across as slightly bitter but beautifully citrusy fresh. In the background, there’s a gentle, almost creamy note that I can’t quite place yet. It feels lovely and radiates a fine sweetness.
A little later, you can still smell the linden blossoms, although they are now somewhat subdued. The fragrance becomes increasingly more robust and might even come across as slightly scratchy for some, but this impression only lingers a bit in the heart note, as it becomes noticeably softer and creamier again afterwards.
In the end, the fragrance remains fresh and slightly creamy, but it also smells a bit warmer. Although it still has a slight citrus scent, it’s no longer very zesty and fades more into gentler, softer, and floral notes. In addition to the already mentioned fragrance notes, there’s a hint of vanilla with a low sweetness and some woods. By the way, I couldn’t really pick out ylang-ylang (thankfully, as it often comes across as cloying). A lovely fragrance that’s worth trying!
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is rather average, but for a fresh fragrance, I find the projection quite okay. It will surely be noticeable nearby for a while. The longevity is also okay for such a fragrance, lasting about six hours.
The Bottle:
The fragrance comes in the typical pentagonal bottles of most Tauer fragrances, except that this series has yellow bottles instead of blue ones. Well, actually, the bottle itself is clear, but the fragrance liquid is yellow. Otherwise, the cap is chrome-plated, and there seems to be a silver ribbon hanging around the neck. A beautiful bottle!
Conclusion:
Yes, as I thought, the fragrance smells particularly nice of linden blossoms at the beginning, conveying a feeling of freshness and hinting at the spring that is surely coming soon. A spring where you can imagine blooming trees and flowers, and where the animal world gradually wakes up from its winter sleep. Where you hear many, many birds meowing and cats chirping,… or was it the other way around? When my cat meows at me with his deeper voice, it sounds more like a duck quacking!! :D
Anyway, the fragrance is definitely worth a look with its fresh floral scents, and despite the floral notes, this fragrance might even be interesting for men; it’s something you just have to try.
And although the fragrance becomes warmer later on, I think it has become more of a casual or daytime scent due to its freshness, rather than something you could wear for the evening.
Well then… with such fragrances, warmer days will surely be passed more quickly and pleasantly until Christmas comes around again… but it will still take quite a while until then *sigh* Let’s see if I ever become a summer person, he he :DD
So, have a nice evening and see you later :)
